Open water swim - activity pauses and watch restarts

This has been happening to my pool swims too after the updating to 8.64. Luckily I haven't gone diving yet after the update. I'm not sure if this is about the water temperature though. I'm in Singapore where temperatures are pretty much the same all year round (hot). 

I honestly do not think someone from Garmin is reading this, today i tested even with the pace pro strategy with route saved. The moment i choose the pace pro strategy in training, the watch restarts. have sent all the videos and proof to Garmin HQ and i have attached the video here too.. this should not be watch issue

i have had this exact problem. waited for gps lock, made sure gps mode wasn't ultratrack etc, and swam ~500 meters across the narrow part of a lake. 25 meters was the reading. waited a minute or two, swam back, tracked correctly. did the same swim later, same issues. haven't tried again since then. not sure the exact water temp, but between 12c and 20c for sure. 

At least I know it’s not only me. I’ve tried soaking the watch in the water before swim and it worked once. The other time I couldn’t get GPS lock for couple of minutes so decided to swum anyway - no track with GPS that time. Water temp is 13C right now.
