I have here two MINI (1)

One of them I have on professional account. When I set the Mini to let say send 10min Interval, but log every minute, after sync this with the sync software via usb cable, I have the logged points on the website between the actually transmitted once as expected.

The other mini is on a personal account. Settings are identical, 10min transmitt and 1min log. However, in this case what ever I try, the log points at 1min internval are not synched to the explore website, even after multiple sync attempts, only the transmitted points are visible on the website.

The only filter set is 'last 7 days' and otherwise nothing.

Any idea how to make the second one behave same as the first one?

RE: Mini not syncing log points to explore website

Reach out to Garmin Support (I did it via chat) and tell them your problem and give them a link to this discussion (skyeye did a good job explaining the problem.) The chat rep opened a support ticket for me and said support would contact me in a few days to request more info. Instead of support reaching out, the chat rep sent me an email saying the problem had been fixed and to resync my device. It's been working great ever since. I asked what the problem was and he said it was something they needed to fix on their end with my inreach account. For being fixed so quickly, assuming it's a common problem with 2nd hand devices.

RE: Mini not syncing log points to explore website

Are you sure your code is 16 digits because the IMEI for both my 67i and mini 2 is 15 digits. That is the definition of an IMEI number. The original mini above, an online screen shot of one, has 15 digits. Check this site it shows older models of inreach devices as well as new ones, so I think this is for all models. You can find the IMEI number in settings- system-about, on your device.

But then it says "send/track points" costs $0.10. Why would I be doing that, if it's sending my location every 10 minutes for free? Is this only if I want to send it more than every 10 minutes? That's what I would have assumed from the pricing grid, HOWEVER, on the "track settings explained" garmin page, it has an example that if you have a send interval of 30 minutes for 1 hour, you'd be charged for 2 track points. If that's the case, what is this "10 min+" that I'm getting with the safety plan, when if I set it to 30 minutes I'm still charged?

I just got an Inreach Mini 2 and find the Facebook/Twitter contacts to be very annoying and disruptive to the primary use case for the device (safety first) - especially since I haven't connected anything to social media.

It should be an option to list them as Contacts. At a minimum, this should be an "Opt-In" by virtue of connecting Garmin to social media. If not connected to social media, the Contacts should not show up (even worse, they are above the actual contacts in the list!).

Is there a way to remove Facebook, Twitter & Mapshare from select contacts on device?

Does anyone know a way to remove Facebook, Twitter & Mapshare when selecting a contact from the device?
Effectively you do want to be sending tracking (& send to mapshare) for someone to ping your location.

Now after having backpacker for 7 weeks on remote arizona trail, I would recommend sending tracking to mapshare for any prolonged outing. If on safety plan, just choose to send every 4 hours. & if doing overnights turn off garmin after reaching destination after a final send.

If on rec plan, heck send every 10-20 min. (Maybe turn off at night to save battery.

Worked great for us & you have inreach2 likely so twice or more battery of my version 1 ... and we went 3-5 days between charges.
