&lt;p&gt;My old Feniks 3 has just been replenished with new battery after the first did not last longer than a day or two. Unfortunately, the new battery exibits the exact behaviour. I have uninstalled everything that could cause drain, switched off wifi and bluetooth connections, and deactivated my Strava account. Still the same.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Today I tried rolling back the firmware to pre-V9 but cannot get it to work. Each time it restarts, the version is upgraded to 9.6.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I have tried, soft reset, auto-calibrating and have updated to the latest software.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I am a regular swimmer. The only change to my activity on 20th Dec is that I started to swim a few lengths of crawl rather than only breaststroke.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;li&gt;My GPS will not establish connection with any satellite&amp;#39;s options for any sport. For calibration mode for my &amp;#39;ABC&amp;#39; only compass will calibrate. Otherwise everything else I received &amp;#39;GPS signal is stronger outside, away from trees and tall building&amp;#39;s&amp;#39;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;I&amp;#39;ve done this on a dock of a lake away from trees and buildings. I&amp;#39;ve even left the vehicle on top of a vehicle of a parking lot whilst getting ready for hike. (I am curious if the constant cloud coverage here in Zurich has not allowed the watch to do a GPS soak?)&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;I started to have issues here in Europe right after landing from my plane trip departing Texas.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;I was here last summer, and had no issues. Sans constant cloud coverage.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;I attempted to use it a few weekends ago on a snowboarding trip and it correctly guessed the amount of runs and altitude, but the distance was way off and no map visible.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Software version is 25.00, GPS 2.70, EPO:Current.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;This is all on a Garmin Fenix 5X&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Any thoughts or suggestions? Sure would like it to last longer than a few years for the price we pay!&lt;/p&gt;
