26.00 issue - route has changed color

After the 26.00 install, my course lines are all a shade of red, vs green and white, as they used to be. It is much harder for me to read with the new color scheme.

I can't find a setting that allows me to go back to the old scheme. Does anyone have a workaround, or is experiencing the same issue?

Enduro HR sensor lights not turning on

Hello,

I turned my watch off and on again. When I turned it back on the HR sensor green lights didn't turn back on. I've check to see if the HR sensor had turned off but it is still set to auto. Iv'e turned the watch on and off again since but still no return of the sensor.

Any help for a resolution would be great!

I am sorry you have the issue. There are additional troubleshooting steps you can try.

Please try the following:

- Hard Reset: Hold down your top left power button until your watch shuts off then let go of the button.

After your watch is on again, go into your Sensors & Accessories > Wrist Heart Rate menu and toggle it off then back on again and test to see if the sensor is working again. If the issue continues, proceed to the full reset to defaults.

If you continue to have the issue, please reach out to Outdoor Product Support in your region.

I think it depends what you are looking for. The enduro has a crazy battery life. The Enduro 2 is not as crazy.
The main differences are that the Enduros screen is not as bright as the Enduro2, and the Enduro2 has a touch screen!

BUTTTT The enduro first came out in 2021, Enduro 2 came out in 2022..... Maybe they will be releasing another watch in 2024!

Is there any reason to buy Enduro in 2023?

As header. It's still black Friday going on, but not really affecting the Enduro due to old. But im still interested, Is there any reason to get the Enduro in 2023 or should I look at Enduro 2?

My weather app is not updating on my enduro. It works fine on my Fenix 5x and Fenix 7.

No Solar Charge - Enduro

*** ojeff here. my Endoro watch has stopped charging using solar

I have carried out some basic troubleshooting including.

- Making sure the screen is clear and free of dirt

- Turning the device off / on

- Updated to the latest software installs

I also contacted Garmin through the online troubleshooting portal and was advised to carry out the following steps

- Do a soft reset

- put outside for an hour to see if solar gets picked up

- Check my solar widget logs on connect

This does not appear to have picked up any charge :(

- My device is a Garmin Enduro (nott Enduro 2)

- softrware v 26

My question is will a factory Default possibly help? Or does anyone have any other troubleshooting I could try

Hi! Do you mean solar intensity or charge? The Enduro can't actually charge the battery through solar, it just helps prolong battery life somewhat. But if the solar intensity widget doesn't show anything something might be wrong. Depending on where you live - I'm in Sweden so my watch doesn't get much solar energy during our dark winter!

Sorry, mate. This forum has so low traffic, a typical Enduro owner seems to not post, just train and compete.

I never had this sort of problem, there are 3-4 people to pop up irregularl and the might answer, too.

I advise you should post also on Reddit, last time I found the info there instead of this forum here.

Just a follow-up: the battery consumption of my Enduro is still OK. Thus now I dare propose the enforced full discharge for those who cannot solve their battery drain problems with more “peaceful” options.

NOTHING IS WHAT IT SEEMS TO BE!

NO INTENTIONAL COLOR CHANGE HAPPENED!

IT MUST HAVE BEEN JUST ANOTHER BUG!

THE EVIDENCE:

On the second screenshot there is a short course, which is drawn red. While the tracklog is black in both cases.

Unfortunately I could not exactly tell you how I could manage to get back the original tracklog colour, namely black, but this phenomenon implies me that it is not fully sure that Garmin has ever intended to change either the tracklog color or the course color to red. It seems to me that this color change more a result of a coding bug. And I found some way to avoid it, but only as regards tracklog color.

I am going to tell you a tale.

Once upon a time (yesterday in fact) I played a lot with adding and removing data screens of different types on my Enduro. Even Fish screen. :-) The reason was to test and find some workaround of the ciq datafields full 2/2 bug. I posted about it another threads in F6 forum, so never mind it in this thread

But as a side effect in the middle of my testing once I saw black tracklog on the map page. There was no course started (do course) just simply started an activity.

I could not replicate it whatever I did.

But it made me start to wonder that if it was possible to show black tracklog then red coloring of the tracklog (note: Gauvins called it route, but it was not the proper term) is not hard coded in. The color must be picked up either from a file and from a data which is visible for the users (I dont think so, because I checked earlier and there was no themes) or from a file, but from a data which is not visible by a simple text editor.

Maybe I am wrong, but I swear that the tracklog was black. At that time I did not even remember what Gauvins wrote, and when I bought my Enduro it came with red tracklog & red course.

I agree. It is why I highlighted that there had been no complaints, no request. So changing it to red cannot be called as a new feature, or change in feature.

I surmise it was a sort of mere bug.

But it is more subtle to call it a change, because technically it still works.

And we arrived at the trap: if it were not a newly introduced bug then the necessity to fix it (or change it) much much lower.

Well, thanks for trying. I am getting the feeling that there will be no more firmware updates for the Enduro.

What actually bothers me most about this issue is that it should be a given to fix a bug that was introduced with an update, no matter how many people notice it or are affected by it.

Nobody else? In this case I must realize that we are really to few to get back the original course coloring for Enduro.

Although I still cannot see any reasons why it was changed with 26.00.

I find no complaints made before 26.00 regarding the original coloring.

So even if now it is requested only by 10 users or so, it is much more than zero users who requested the red course coloring for Enduro.

(Background:

after I had reported it in a PM as it had been offered I was told that there had been too few Fenix 6 users who complained about it. This reference to F6 may have been a simple typo, because so far I have seen only Enduro owners complaining about it.

So if I positively assume that the user base is regarded as "Enduro owners" and not "F6 owners" I see some - even if a small - chance to gather a critical mass. )

I am using my 4th Enduro 1... Excellent watch... it has all I need for running. You can buy excellent used ones on Ebay for less then usd300. Wonderfull bennefit for this cost. Battery Last forever...

It's got multi band GPS, whereas the Enduro does not. That's what I'd do now.
