Because the forum software (vBulletin) is miserable in searching. Just like most other forum softwares. I always use Google site-based query for searching anything here or on any other specific website.

Well using Google with “magnetic db” I found hits in both F6 and F7 forums, I dont understand why the search of Garmin forums had not resulted in any posts using the same “magnetic db” search text.

And you are right, I checked it.

It was not the R map itself, which was a fake update, but the Geocode map. It is the one which includes the addresses, see forums.garmin.com/.../garmin-s-routable-cycle-map-of-europe-2022-11-comes-with-the-geocode-map-for-edge-530-why

Well, I do not own the Enduro, but it is probably an update of the Magnetic Field Model, which needs to be updated each 5 years. Not sure why you think it was a fake update. Route maps need to be regularly updated, regardless whether you can search by an address or not.
