Coming from a GPSMAP 66sr and GPSMAP 67 (as most recent GPSMAP devices), I notice that both devices consistently displayed an accuracy of 1.8m in good conditions and with multi-GNSS and multi-band. With my H1, not so much. I usually have my device on Auto Select. When it's in multi-GNSS mode without multi-band, I get 3.0m as the best accuracy. The device receives satellites from GPS, Galileo and BeiDou, with around 10 satellites. Usually BeiDou has a bit more than the other two systems. And I noticed that with 10.13, there's no GLONASS reception. When the device uses multi-GNSS with multi-band, I usually get no better than 2.3m but mostly 2.4m - 2.5m in my local test walk (in a neighborhood with low-rise housing, and some open areas, around latitude N52 and longitude E05). So what are the experiences of other H1 / H1i users?

Forum Post: RE: Firmware 9.45

I took the plunge and accepted the 9.45 update anyway, luckily the KMZ file I created for the location in visiting later this year still loads ok

Forum Post: RE: KMZ custom maps no longer visible after firmware 9.45

Garmin units can be a bit picky about what KMZ maps they'll display anyway. Google earth accepts several file types when creating an image overlay and although Basecamp seems to display KMZs created from a .PNG image, the 67i will only display them if they were created from a .jpg image. My problem was with a failing SD card. I swapped the cards with the same kmz between the 67 and the 67i and I could see the map in the 67i. So false alarm, at least for me. As a bonus, I tested a Sandisk Endurance 64GB, formatted on FAT32, and it seems to be working just fine! I did not try for card speed obviously, but for expected generic endurance, and the price was the same as other cards.

Forum Post: RE: Saved items won't be sorted by date

Seeing the same. When sorting on Date on the H1 the order is different than in the Explore app. For example I see a course from September 2025 listed first on the H1, while there are newer items in the library. Also items created on the same date are displayed at a different position than in the Explore app. I would expect the order to be the same as the same data is synced from Explore app to the H1.

Forum Post: RE: Cannot send or receive messages after latest firmware update

Bricked as in not being able to send messages. As in the 67i will not even try to send anything, no curved up arrow icon in the top of the screen. All my message history is missing. I cannot send a check in. I click send message and nothing happens. The screen doesn't change, the enter button does nothing. The same for checking the weather I select update forecast and get forecast, nothing happens. The only things that work are the Mapshare tracking, mail check, and test device in the InReach Utilities menu. I assume SOS works but I have no way to test that obviously. Does the 67i store error logs anywhere? To add to the list of issues, the 67i now takes 2-3 minutes to startup, it stays stuck on loading maps for that amount of time. I've deleted the Topoactive NA maps and redownloaded it, no change. Another issue happens after adding a fifth WiFi network. Scrolling down to select the WiFi network lowest on the screen causes the 67i to crash/power off.

Forum Post: RE: GARMIN\NewFiles do not see GPX file

Unfortunately that doesn’t work on macOS.
