Yes, everything is enabled, but I went ahead checked anyway. Same things happened yesterday. Some of the Check-In emails showed my location, and sometimes not. Since this has happened twice now on two separate outings, I thought it may be associated with one of the particulat types of Check-In's (I'm starting my trip, I'm checking in. Everything is okay, I'm ending my trip) but that is not the case. Let me explodare father in the link you provided on "poor GPS signal" which I think that may be the case, and not me, not the device. I was in a Canyon on the first outing, and then yesterday, somewhat of a canyon on the way out. Select ACCOUNT. Scroll down the page to SMS Message Configuration. Check the first two boxes for " Include my latitude and longitude as text in the message " and " Include a link to an online map with the location of my message " to include location. If you are certian that is, and has remained enabled, I would review the guidance here: https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=VixYRxXuOf4VwcvpylRDzA What Happens When There is Poor GPS Signal or No GPS Signal? SMS will still be sent, but may not provide the location or may show an inaccurate location if there is poor or no GPS signal. At times, it may not include a location link at all. Email should always include a location link, but may not show a location or may return an error that the location is not available if there is poor or no GPS signal.

Forum Post: RE: GPSMAP H1i Software Suggestions for Next Version (August 18th, 2026)

It’s available on version 11, but I’m not sure about version 12.08. I believe it’s still there because it’s an issue. It’s challenging to address because it likely requires precise layout adjustments. Essentially, the bottom handle for the entire operating system often steals touches before any UI element that is positioned underneath it in the z-axis. However, the more significant issue is that the bottom of the locking keypad, specifically the “0” button, frequently fails to register clicks without the handle interfering. For instance, if you don’t make meticulous adjustments, either click the top of the button or near its center. In such cases, the button won’t register any clicks. Therefore, if I click the bottom of the zero button, it won’t register that as a click for that button.

Forum Post: RE: Trouble Sending

Good idea. I took a walk around 7:30pm today and skies were clear, no tall buildings or tress in my path for 30min. After my last post yesterday and until about 3pm today I still received the "trouble sending" message. The unit was off up until my walk today. While out on my walk and up until now, I have not received any notifications. One thing that did happen was last night around 11pm, I received a message from Garmin SOS emergency asking what my emergency was. The messaged was time stamped at 9:11am. At around 9:05am till 9:15am I was on the phone with Garmin for a scheduled SOS test, which I performed over the phone with them. I did receive a confirmation message during that time from the Garmin representative during the call which we both verified. It was kinda strange to receive this other message asking my emergency, it seemed like someone else from Garmin was responding to my test, perhaps they were unaware I was performing a test at that time.. Initially I thought that message from Garmin was the suspected culprit of the "trouble sending" notification. I deleted it from the H1i. But today I continued to get the same notification. On my walk I did notice the Garmin messenger app on my phone had the "delayed" Garmin SOS emergency message, so I deleted that. Lets see what happens tomorrow.

Forum Post: RE: GPSMAP H1i Software Suggestions for Next Version (August 18th, 2026)

Music control? If the walk clears it, the problem becomes a little less mysterious (outgoing queues of failed requests of some sort, presumably to the satellite system—queues that clear when, outdoors, the system is able to send the pending requests), and we realize it's not a bug but normal behavior (albeit described by a less than perspicuous message). You could play with Messenger on the unit a little (indoors—very indoors, if possible): for example, send a few messages, put the H1i on standby, wait a while, and then wake it up. If the notification doesn't appear, try doing the same thing from Messenger on the iPhone. As you correctly did before, keep an eye on the Explore website. Short, try your best to reproduce the issue. Then, well, walk :) The problem might not be that the system occasionally fails to send messages, but using Messenger could also cause other types of requests to be initiated.

Forum Post: RE: Waypoint symbol filtering blocks finding waypoints with other symbols

I also remarked the wrong number in the heading. And I find it quite unintuitive to use. When selecting symbols to filter on, the icons are so small that you easily select the wrong one. The number of items as shown in the list heading (where you select what item type to view) doesn't match the actual number of results. I have 40 waypoints in my library. When I filter on the colored house symbol, 4 waypoints are shown (which is correct). But the number in the heading shows 3...
