Feature request: Alarm clock

I use the alarm clock function on my Garmin etrex when hiking - as it provides an easy way to check sunrise time, then set the alarm and turn off the unit (until the alarm time).

Would love to have this on the mini, so that I can leave my watch and etrex at home.

I just want to second this request. Alarm watches are not loud enough to wake me. I'm debating whether or not to buy an inReach. Of course I know what it's for, and navigation, messaging, tracking and emergencies are more important -- but an alarm loud enough to wake me would be wonderful feature, possibly enough to push me over the edge and make me buy it.

While an alarm that works while the inReach is off would be ideal (if it had minimal impact on battery life), I’d be happy with a software update with an alarm that only works while inReach is turned on. Ideally you should be able to set more than one daily alarm.

Many people use inReach to regularly check-in when working remotely and it can be very easy to get distracted by work and miss the scheduled check-in times, an inbuilt alarm would be the perfect solution.

Those times would be horizon times, and of less value in the mountains or in a valley.

The PeakFinder mobile app is super accurate on actual sunrise/sunset times and locations.
