The connection between the Mini 2 and the XT are good. I found that If i turn on the Zumo XT first and wait for it to boot up and then power on the Mini 2 the connection stays as long as the Mini 2 is powered on. I set the plan to suspend at the end of that month, and the device was powered off.

Now, the Explore website shows my plan status as suspended, but the device still shows "inReach Enabled Plan | SOS included" in the plan details page.

When I tell it to update plan info, it just gets stuck showing "Waiting for response" even though I left it outside with a sky view for over 30 minutes. I even tried rebooting it outdoors again and it goes into the same state when I ask it to update plan details.

It is syncing with the Explore mobile app. It just performed the 5.04 firmware update earlier today.

I do not use the Messenger app and have no intention to (do not want this linkage to phone numbers etc.) I have used it since day 1 with the Explore app and the Explore website where I enrolled the plan originally.

I also do not have a PC to run Garmin Express.

What I was hoping to find out was whether it would indicate "Suspended plan | SOS included" now as per the recent announcements. I am not sure if that is possible until the next time I resume service and suspend again though. I just don't understand why the device will not update to realize it is suspended...

RE: Device "waiting for response" does not know plan is suspended

This is correct. A solution has not been found for this concern at this time. As a workaround, backing out of the inReach app on the zumo XT, then going back into it will allow the connection to reestablish. If there any changes this, it will be via a future software update.
I wish they would allow it to sync the state via the Explore app too, if it can't really be provisioned via satellite like the normal plans.

I've never had any interest in the Messenger app. I don't want my inReach messaging in anyway tied or conflated with my mobile phone number.
After a full reset, mine hangs the same way "waiting for a response" if I attempt the activation sequence as per the documentation.

I think I'm going to have to wait for the next time I actually want to resume service, and give myself some weeks to see if it reactivates properly then...

RE: Device "waiting for response" does not know plan is suspended

Btw, just checked my Mini 2 and the device itself shows inReach Enabled Plan | SOS included as well.
Menu > saved > waypoints > Export to GPX > Export all waypoints to GPX > export

When I go through the above steps, I get a message that export is processing and then completes.

But it’s not clear WHERE the exported gpx waypoints are saved. I have searched ipad and files and find nothing.

I also don’t see any exported file in Explore app on my iPad. I do see the original waypoints but I need them as GPX NOT Garmin format, which is why I am exporting from Inreach2 mini’s functionality.

Please advise as your documentation does not make this clear either.
