In Reach Mini 2 and India

Hi all, I'm planning on  riding my motorbike to India from here, London.  As a precaution, I'll get the extra insurance and take my Mini 2.

Last time I looked , it could be confiscated by the Indian authorities if found.

Is this still a thing? And have people smuggled it in and then switched it on when inside the country?

Any advice would be appreciated.
