I’m in ball & club data mode with cub sticker on as always. But I occasionally now get a slice where I knew it was a draw or even a hook swing. In addition I also occasionally get super high club speed with my driver even though the ball speed seems accurate. I had a driver club head speeds of 162 mph this morning. I’m lucky to hit 95 at best, so I know this is wrong. The unit was always rather accurate except for the ball speed numbers which everyone knows are always around 10% less than real numbers. That part I could handle given all of the other numbers being so accurate. Now the unit is basically unusable. Lighting is good, premium balls are being used. This is unacceptable for a $5,000 unit! Unfortunately, my excitement was quickly met with disappointment before I could even properly wear it. The included nylon band doesn’t separate like a traditional watch strap. Instead, it’s designed as a continuous loop that you slide over your hand. The problem is that even fully loosened, the opening is too small to comfortably fit over my hand. My wrist isn’t the issue; it’s getting the watch over my palm and fingers. Yes, the watch has a QuickFit release mechanism, so technically I can detach the strap from the watch every time I put it on or take it off. But that’s hardly convenient, nor is it how the band was intended to be used. I contacted Garmin support on the very first day I received the watch, simply asking if they could exchange the included band for a longer or more accommodating option. After going back and forth with support, the best they could offer was a 30% discount on another strap, bringing the cost to approximately $42. While I appreciate the discount, I find it disappointing that after spending around $800 on a brand-new flagship watch, I’m expected to spend additional money just to wear it comfortably. I wasn’t asking for a free accessory or an upgrade. I was simply hoping Garmin could accommodate a customer whose hand doesn’t fit through the included band. I’ve always held Garmin in very high regard, and I still enjoy their products. My disappointment isn’t with the watch itself, but with the customer experience and how this situation was handled. In my opinion, when you’re selling a premium product at this price point, accommodating different hand sizes should be something the company considers, especially when the included band has such an unconventional design. See other postings in the forum. I got several attempts to get this fixed incl. a new R10 by Garmin. It all started with Firmware 4.50 Finalle I gave the R10 back to the dealer. Sad, because it's a software issue.
