Well after playing 18 today I ended the round and it syced up fine with the app, all data was there and good. Go to check 2 hours later and ALL my putting data is wiped out...GONE!
This takes all the other stats like GIR and fairaways hit with it also. Over 2 years of data 150 rounds wiped out!!
This problem is NOT SOLVED!! I have all the latest updates and just lost everything.
Not a happy camper.
Please fix this issue!!!

Starting to get a bit frustrated with this app. Iv tracked every putt for 10 rounds, even switched to the ct10 to track strokes gained putting. I go to look the other day and the putting numbers on my scorecards are all gone! I don’t understand how they would just disappear. Anyone else dealing with this? It’s beyond frustrating to spendt countless hundreds of dollars and tens of hours tracking this stuff just for it to get wiped away.

This is such a thorn in my side. There is so much room for improvement here. I love my Garmin, but the software is lacking. Give us the ability to see our shot history in list form per club. Going through the map history to update a shot is so tedious. I just received the badges update. This is not the kind of update I want.

After having the same problem for several rounds of golf it is now working properly again since I've made this change. At beginning of round I make sure the Garmin GOLF app is open in the background when I start the round. That way when you finish the round, the app is open and possibly it helps it sync more accurately.

Strangely enough, the watch records activity again on the 4th round after the last hard reset. So first 2 rounds yes, 3rd round not and 4th round yes. I don't understand it anymore. I wonder if activities will always be recorded from now on.

Since November 25 (software version 23.20), golf rounds are no longer recorded. Fit. files are empty. You can still see the scores in the golf app. The latest software update should solve the problem. Unfortunately. After 2 rounds it no longer works. According to Garmin service, the problem is still receiving full attention. I don't believe it. So a watch costing 700 euros is not doing well. When will Garmin take the problem seriously and solve it?

I emailed support when I first had this issue and was told this wasn’t a known problem and I must be doing something wrong.

Until I then copied and pasted links to two discussions on this forum with other users having the same problem, highlighting that it’s clearly not just me, and was then told yes they’re aware of this problem there’s an open case regarding it and it’s being investigated by the engineers.

I’m not optimistic of it being resolved any time soon.

Contacted Garmin support again. Solving the problem appears to be a high priority. If it is not resolved, I will request a refund of almost 700 euros.

Hi all,

I have an S70 approach and was about to buy the CT10 sensors for game tracking.

ive just seen the CT1 sensors have been released today and are listed as compatible with S70.

what is the difference between the two sets of sensors. CT1s are half the price of the CT10s, but otherwise I can’t see what the benefit of buying the CT10s over the CT1s would be at double the price

You can go with the 3 sensors set: putter and two wedges.
I rarely use the CT1 on other clubs as the shot is detected and I prefer to select manually on the watch.

Once on the green:
- press the action button (the top big one) to mark putt. Mind you, it does not always work and that's why I bought the CT1
- double tap anywhere on the black screen and it will set the flag position at your location. You can also do it manually as explained by CFAnPEI, from anywhere once playing the hole (no need to be near/on the green, I usualy do it at Tshot as course provides pin location).

Regarding the chip shot (or any non detected shot), there's no shortcut tthat I'm aware of beside CT1 (or CT10?).

Winter here so going based on memory.

Once near or on green, you can move the pin location with finger on watch screen.

To mark putt locations you hit the big orange action button.

Note: marking pin and putt locations is not used for Strokes Gained data. That requires a tag on a putter at a mininum.

HI Chris, I’m fairly new to Garmin ecosystem, I have an S70 watch, can you tell me what action button / process you refer to on the watch to track putting (w/o the use of CT1/10 sensors?). Can this same action button also be used to track shorter chip shots that the watch doesn’t typically auto detect? Thanks!

Realise this is a Garmin forum but there are many 3rd parties around that can likely provide watch bands that match your criteria - do a global search using watch model and band size.

Garmin S70 shows the wrong Golf Course via GPS.

Why does Garmin show the wrong Golf Course via GPS, Majorca, at Golf Son Servera it identifies the course automatically as Golf Cpadepera, some 10km away. Needs manual overwrite every time. Also the hole handicap ranking for Son Servera is not in line with the official course scorecard.

I cannot start a new round of golf as the watch ends its immediately on its own

Till today the S70 was acting great. But now, if I start a round, all preparation steps go as normal.

I press Golf on the watch, wait for GPS, watch searches for nearby courses, select a course, check to register score, select a tee, the first hole is shown but after 1 second the watch ends the round on its own. It looks as if the menu button is pressed, that icon is shown for a short moment nearby the red button, but I am not pressing any button.

The "round" is visible in the Garmin Golf App as an empty round. I can do this over and over again, with the same result. So I have a long list of empty rounds (easy to delete of course) in the Garmin app.

I have shut down the watch and started again, doesn't help.

I choose to skip GPS, doesn't help.

I choose not to keep scores, doesn't help.

Reset the watch, even that doesn't help.

Can anyone please help?

I a done with Garmin!

My watch is working somewhat but is still showing strange behavior. And Garmin is only responding that the software team is still looking at the issue.

As I have an expensive but not working watch I wanted to make a claim on my warranty. And how does Garmin reply? They won't do anything until the software team finds the cause of the issue. So, if they do not find anything, I will get nothing for my not-working watch.

I have two Garmin Edge devices including a Garmin HRM for cycling, a Garmin Venu for my fitness workouts and for golf the not working Garmin Approach S70, Garmin CT10 sensors and the Garmin Approach R10 launch monitor. But from this moment on I will look for other brands if I need to replace something. No Garmin anymore.

This is terrible customer service.

My sleep score just does not work, keeps displaying no data

Sleep score just wont work, i put in sleep mode, just jeeps displaying no data, no sleep data recorded, no sleep stage recorded, am i missing something out, ive checked app on phone, sleep schedule is set ???
