Approach s62 crashes after 4 or 5 holes of Broome manor golf course

I have tried and failed to track broom manor 18 and 9mhole courses numerous times since Christmas. It always crashed out after 4 or 5 holes and does not allow me to enter my score when moving to the next hole.

I was initially forgiving because I thought I was just learning to use the app.

Beginning to doubt that was the reason now.

Approach S62 watch is automatically ending the round

Hi , My Approach S62 watch is automatically ending the round as soon as it starts. I follow the usual steps: after selecting the tee, the map for the first hole appears briefly, and then the round ends immediately. In the Garmin Golf app, it shows an empty round.
I’ve already tried rebooting the watch, and it’s running the latest software update.
What do you recommend I try next?

GPS Map not updated for Pete Dye course of Shenzhen Mission Hills Golf Club! It is in Shenzhen, China. Please someone from Garmin fix it!!! It has been for a quite while since the course went thru a big change. The changed Pete Dye course only use 9 holes from the original course and add 9 holes from the Faldo course. The new Faldo course has only 9 holes. I noticed that the GPS map of Faldo course was updated! When will the Pete Dye course be updated? I do not think it not a big job, but it is sure help the golfers! Just need to re-order the holes from the old files.

Garmin Express V7.27.1 tells me there is a new version to update. When I use Settings->About->Install Now I get the following error message when trying to download/install the updated version.

Green Contors wont sync with Iphone eventhough they appear on the iphone and are paired correctly.

I had an issuse with my S62 as it wouldnt allow me to finish a round. I could not turn the watch off so I was forced to do a factory reset. I am subscribed to green contours. But now the watch wont sync the green contours with my iphone. Even though green contors are available for the course and they appear on the iphone the S62 wants me to open the Garmin app to download the course contours but they dont come accross. It has always worked fine up until i had the issue.

last week i realised that the virtual caddie is not working. There is no recomendation at all.touching the simbol a exclamation mark shows up.

I restartet . chanded an reset all funktion but without a change.

Virtual Caddie unavailable but all other distances working, satellite or software issue?

Have had S62 for three seasons, over 300 rounds, Virtual Caddie has worked flawlessly up to now. But today it showed an exclamation point and was unavailable. Played twice today, rounds recorded just fine and distances at each ball location worked at each shot. But no Virtual Caddie. I tried syncing with Garmin Golf app, Garmin Connect, Garmin IQ Store apps, all iPhone and all synced. Even powered off and turned watch back on between the two rounds. Any thoughts or solutions?

S62 is no longer tracking health data.

All of the stress, sleep, intensity, pulse ox, heart rate, steps, etc., stopped syncing. I restarted both watch and iPhone, removed and reinstalled watch and various other things - can’t figure it out, it just stopped overnight. Does anyone have a fix for this?

Is the club distance estimate provided on watch when I pull the club considered the average or the max distance for that club? Is the yardage provided by the watch based on an average of the last 10 (or some number) of shots?

Hi there.

I had a new S62 delivered yesterday. Fully updated, All clubs etc configured via the app. My old Vivoactive would ask for strokes, puitts & fairway direction from the Tee.

I had seen previous YouTube videos of the S62 asking for these stats along with penalties.

Played my first 18 this morning and not once did it prompt for number of putts, penalties or fairway direction automatically when waling away from the green. It would only prompt for shots

When I attempted to manually add a score in the watch, it would only ask for the number of shots & nothing else

I have:

'Scoring' Enabled
'Start Tracking' Enabled & 'Penalties' Enabled
'Club Prompt' Enabled
'Scoring Method = Stroke play'
'Virtual Caddie = Auto'
'Handicap Scoring = off'
'Record Activity' Enabled
2 x club sensors enabled on my gap & pitch wedges

The watch is fully up to date (via Garmin Express)

The Watch is synced with Garmin Golf & Garmin Connect apps

When checking my round via the golf app not one Putt had been recorded. All are 0.

Can anyone provide any guidance or advice on what I have missed as to why this is hppening please?

Garmin Golf deleting inaccurate shots

I'm raising this again as it never seems to get answered - when will Garmin allow us to identify and delete the occasional random shot in the club stats in our bag? You can see these appear as max shots but who knows how many others there might be which impact the average distance that you hit the club.

Previous suggestions have included just tracking last 100 shots or enabling us more easily to access which shots are included so we can delete them. I'd prefer being able to identify and delete the shots, but tracking a smaller number of shots would be better than where we are now.

I have gone through my rounds and tried to identify the shots but can't see them. I've then removed all my rounds from my stats but the club stats still appear.

I own a lot of Garmin equipment and I've just started using the Golf element of my Fenix 8 and a set of CT10s. However, I'm beginning to wish that I'd read the forums beforehand as the app is seriously lagging the competitors.

C'mon, Garmin: you must employ plenty of people in software engineering and so find someone who could make the golf app more user friendly.

What are you supposed to do when satellite location is completely wrong on the course?

I was playing today and my distances were totally wrong. Like not even close. Eventually I'd see nothing but the default distances because the watch didn't even think I was on the right hole.

One time I hit a shot off the tee and then watched as the shot distance continually grew even though I wasn't moving. It eventually reached over 900 yards (picture #1). The app shows the tee shot as slightly off from where the teeboxes actually were, and then apparently thought my second shot was over 1200 yards away when it was in the fairway (picture #2).

What am I supposed to do in this situation? I paused the round and rebooted the watch, then resumed it. It did not help even though it seemingly "Located Satellite" fine. Is there an in round reset or a way to reconnect manually?

Shotmap unavailable on S62

Hi Admin,

Not sure whether this has been asked previous thread.

Recently was using the tournament mode on the garmin golf app, connected the S62.

Notice after the tournament that the shot map is unavailable.

is there a way to have this option available or whether i have missed a step of function that i am unaware of.

just to note, all the while the shotmap is available on individual game.

The Garmin Connect app is telling me to connect only via the Garmin Golf app. However the S62 used to connect to the Garmin Connect app. How do I record golf activities AND fitness...isnt that the whole purpose of this watch?

My S62 is showing my longest hit from my 3 wood as 458 yards. Obviously this is incorrect. I have only used the watch for 11 rounds of golf, and have been through the shot maps for all 11 but cannot find the shot I need to delete. Help!

No longer saving number of putts per hole

Started maybe about a month ago but the putts per hole aren't being saved after a round. I'm still getting a prompt to ask for the number of putts after the hole, but if I check the app after the round the putting stats are gone. Strange thing is that there's some rounds that do save them, but most of them don't.
