My S60 will not turn on or charge. If I press the middle button, I get the blue triangle for a few seconds. I tried the reset procedure of holding the top and bottom buttons down and pressing the middle button, but that did not help either. I have cleaned the charging area with 70% alcohol.

Where can I get another cable? I have tried multiple USB wall adaptors and also charging on the USB port of a computer.

7651376 Based on the steps you have already tried, the device will likely need to be replaced. Unfortunately this model is no longer available for exchange. So you will want to look at new device purchase options.

Garmin S60 stopped charging, cleaned cable ends, bought two new cables and it worked for two weeks, now not charging again, plugged into my laptop but Garmin Express can’t find my watch, can anybody help please?

If your device is no longer lasting a full round of golf once charged to 100%, it is best to follow the steps within these articles.

battery life issue

I've had my S60 for about a month now and I'm starting to question the battery life on this thing - on and off the golf course.

I have only played two rounds of golf with it and made sure the battery was charged before playing. For whatever reason, it would drain so fast and one round it even died half way through. I've contacted Garmin support and while the customer service rep did say it sounded strange, he could only recommend me to do a hard reset of the watch and try it again on another round. I haven't been able to play another round yet, so I can't test the battery when in golf mode. Anyone else notice this? I have a cousin that has the S62 and on one round together, his watch was at 100% at start and in the end, he was only down to 72%.

However, on daily use, what kind of battery life are you all seeing? The last time I charged the watch to 100% was last wednesday and it finally died yesterday afternoon. I didn't do any GPS activity with it during the week. I do make sure it stays BT connected to my phone. I charged up to 100% again and put the watch on at 10:27pm. Right now, it's sitting at 89%. Does that sound right? 12% loss in ~12 hours?

Despite a full charge, my S60 sometimes fails before the end on 18 holes. Very frustrating. I implement updates when required. Any suggestions welcome

I am also having this problem now. It was all working fine and then about two rounds ago my shots were not showing up in the golf app after manually syncing. Did you get any response from Garmin reps?

My two most recent rounds show fairways, greens, and putts on my watch and online via Garmin connect. when I look at Garmin golf app, scorecards, this info doesn't show

I've tried deleting watch and re-adding and synching

Prior rounds show info in all places

I would love to help with this. Some additional steps I would recommend trying:

Try another charging cable, and charging port.
Clean the buttons.

new rounds don't have data but if I do the delete and re-add golf app, they show up

Could you please help me to troubleshoot. My S60 is up to date when syncing information to my Golf Dashboard (Last round played)

The Connect Dashboard shows that I must update (I have not been able to do this for some time)

UPDATE AVAILABLE:

Your Version: 6.10

Latest Version: 7.10

I open Garmin Express to do the updates, the message will say it has just been synced.

I go to the details of the Items I have ready to install (Various)

I view details, and select Version 7.10 (5.65MB) and click install.

I get the notes, and then the error (There was an error installing the update)

I cannot seem to update anything - PLEASE HELP

fix was short lived. todays round doesn't show stats on app. prior rounds still have stats. this is annoying

based on another report in the forum, I deleted the garmin golf app off my phone. not the garmin connect but the garmin golf app. re-installed it and all rounds show all stats

the other thread said this disappeared after 10 minutes so I'll check it in a bit and report back

and now that I've played a few more rounds its intermittent. some rounds have all stats, some don't. I follow same procedure before and after. very puzzling and very disappointing for the price of this watch

On certain course the Garmin Approach S60 dies before 18 holes are completed. The S60 was charged fully prior to the game and only 5-1/2 hours had elapsed from full charge to "dead'

At the very least offer a discount on a new product and not a measly 10% but a significant offset to having a product that has planned obsolescence. Otherwise loyal customers like me will never use or recommend the product in the future.

This nonsense of producing rechargeable products where the battery cannot be replaced has got to stop. Lithium batteries have a finite number of times that can be recharged before they won't hold a charge. It's absurd to pay hundreds of dollars for a watch, or any device, that becomes useless after a few years to be simply trashed. The EU passed a law a while back, mandating that all rechargeable devices must have replaceable batteries. I don't know when that will take effect, but maybe there is hope on the horizon.
