Duplicate activity

I want to make an activity for where I am at the range of simulator.

I used the baseball activity, and renamed it because this has "indoors" and outdoors for simulator or range.

But when I save it, it shows as baseball on the News Feed

How can I change it to say range?

Or make a custom one? I believe i could make my own on the Vivoactive 5

You can change your Garmin Connect account settings to display the device activity name, but this will need to be completed on the connect.garmin.com website. Use the steps in the following link: Why is My Custom Activity Displaying Differently in Garmin Connect?

Shot Data and Connect not Syncing

I'm experiencing an issue with the Auto Shot feature. After I finish a round and tap Save, my shots are not being captured.

This issue started about two weeks ago, and my last two rounds have not recorded any shot data. At the end of the round, the prompt appears, I tap Save, and the watch returns to the watch face. However, the round does not sync at that point.

When I open the Golf app again, it asks me to Resume Round. After I save the round a second time, it finally syncs with Garmin Connect and the Golf app. Unfortunately, the shot tracking data is missing, and the round does not post to my news feed.

Can you help me determine what is causing this issue and how to resolve it?

I did change the name, but it shows in Connect as the original name of the activity.

Any way to change that?

The Approach S50 does not have an option to create a custom activity. You can edit the name in the activity using the steps in the following article: How Do I Edit an Activity in Garmin Connect?

Omg I have been sooo excited to get my new approach s50…. Only to be so sad because the darn premium maps will not load! I have done everything in this thread with no happy result. Same thing. Has basically eaten up my entire day trying to resolve :( I may have to buy a competitor product. I’m so sad…

Please can someone for the love of god help me?
I've called customer support and still no solution.

I have Garmin Golf App & Garmin Connect App.
Both are connected and synced properly to my watch.

I've downloaded Garmin Express and have updated everything to date.

I've cleared my browser cache and history.

I've started the golf round through my watch with the Garmin Golf App open and running on my iPhone.

I've disconnected my watch from my iPhone, deleted both apps, re-downloaded them, and re-connected my watch.

The premium map still never downloads.

When I click 'View Course Stats' in the app after a round, it still gives me an error.

What is going on? I'm paying for something that doesn't even work.

How do I explain this and get my money back? Who do I even call to get my money back?

The only thing is that the premium membership is working on the Garmin Golf app, as I can see the green contour on there.

Golf rounds not being recorded on Strava. I have an Approach S50

I have golf "as an activity" but about a month ago, my golf rounds stopped syncing to Strava. All other activities are almost instantaneously visible on Strava. Please can someone suggest a remedy?

I have a GS50 Approach golf watch in which has been working fine until lately, in the past I would start a round on my watch, play my round and then finish it, it would have my scorecard sent to the garmin app & then send my activity to Strava, walking each hole on a map, how many steps, cals & time, in the past few weeks not a single round has went to Strava (there has been many) & some have shown on the app as a round with scorecard etc? I don’t get it, I also done an open water swim which wasn’t recorded yet my walks & runs are all recorded fine and shown on Strava with the map?

I have done all checks, watch is connected to Strava, activity tracking is on etc, have no idea what else to do?

does anyone have any suggestions,

Did you get this sorted? I have exactly this problem. Gym, walks, runs all sync straight to Strava but not golf

Thank you for walking through the steps provided. As you have already removed the device from the Garmin Golf app, and reestablished the connection I would like you to go a step further. Please walk through the steps to remove the device from the Garmin Golf app, and the phones Bluetooth. Once completed please sign out of the app, uninstall, then power the phone and watch off and back on. Reinstall the application, sign back in, then pair the watch back up. If the disruption persists reply back here.

S50 looses connection during game

I have the Approach S50 paired to my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.

And during a round, suddenly my watch looses connection to my phone and Garmin Golf app, i have to turn BT on and off to get it back, and then it might still not sync to the golf app.

Any ideas?

Tried reinstalling software, watch and "every trick" in the book.

Starting to get really frustrated.

Never happened on my Vivoactive 5

You may also try deleting the Garmin Golf App from your phone then redownloading it. If this disruption during your rounds persists, please reply back here.

The newest software version, 9.15, began rolling out today. Once the update becomes available on your device, please install it to ensure you receive the fix and the latest improvements.

Shot Data Not Syncing

I’ve had a recurring issue where my S50 does not save the shot tracking data following my round. I use CT1 trackers and I’m certain that I’m tracking my shots correctly throughout. Following a round, I hit the “Save” button, the watch restarts, I have to press “Play Golf” again and resume my round. I then save the round and it syncs, but the shot data is missing.

Please advise.

As this is a golf watch, why when choosing an exercise such as strength or cycling is there not an option for driving range?

It would be quite obvious as for many of us driving range is one of our key fitness activities and uses a lot of calories.

I also have the same issue. The score is saved but the actual shots and shot map is not, it appears to be random as sometimes it does save it. Approach S50 with CT 1. Also the watch has reset either mid round or immediately after the last hole on occasion.
