Driving range option in activity menu doesn't exist

As this is a golf watch, why when choosing an exercise such as strength or cycling is there not an option for driving range?

It would be quite obvious as for many of us driving range is one of our key fitness activities and uses a lot of calories.

How to add missing tee boxes and combo rounds to local golf courses?

We have 3 local courses in Idaho Falls. All three courses are missing one or more tee boxes. How can we have this corrected in course maps. Who would affect these changes and how could we go about the process?

Shot Data and Connect not Syncing

I'm experiencing an issue with the Auto Shot feature. After I finish a round and tap Save, my shots are not being captured.

This issue started about two weeks ago, and my last two rounds have not recorded any shot data. At the end of the round, the prompt appears, I tap Save, and the watch returns to the watch face. However, the round does not sync at that point.

When I open the Golf app again, it asks me to Resume Round. After I save the round a second time, it finally syncs with Garmin Connect and the Golf app. Unfortunately, the shot tracking data is missing, and the round does not post to my news feed.

Can you help me determine what is causing this issue and how to resolve it?

Shot Data Not Syncing

I’ve had a recurring issue where my S50 does not save the shot tracking data following my round. I use CT1 trackers and I’m certain that I’m tracking my shots correctly throughout. Following a round, I hit the “Save” button, the watch restarts, I have to press “Play Golf” again and resume my round. I then save the round and it syncs, but the shot data is missing.

Please advise.

If you reset your watch will it reload all the golf courses? Mine have disappeared.

All my golf courses have disappeared from my watch. How do I get them back?

All my courses have disappeared. Worked fine last week but have tried the last 2 days at different courses and after GPS is found it says No Nearby Course when I'm standing at the course. Both are courses I've played multiple times before with no problems.

Timer till adding score?

Is there a way to get the watch to ask for the score of the hole earlier? It takes forever sometime for it to ask for the score. I've left the green and the yards to center of the green start going up and sometimes it is still going up when I get to the next tee box. I've had it go up to over 70 yards before it asked for the score. It's a pain to have to go into the menu to scorecard add the score then change the hole just to get a yardage on the next hole before teeing off.

I know there are a couple threads on this subject but nothing recent. Does the feature not work or are there just not very many courses with the elevation data mapped in the software? I picked this model because it had the feature. I've played a dozen different courses in Ohio and North Carolina and never had the play like feature work.

Phone disconnected message.

Is there a way to shut off the notifications when my phone disconnects and reconnects? I normally leave my phone in the cart and when I go to the green I keep getting notifications that the phone is disconnected and reconnected.

premium maps, Garmin Golf membership

Garmin Golf membership cost 100 Euro per yer. Main benefit is premium maps and green undulation. This is fine but buying S50 nobody warns that premium maps are loaded vis your phone at a start of every round. Consequently after the round map is deleted from the watch. Probably it is because very small storage capacity in this watch.

Imagine now you are abroad and every round you start you have to pay expensive ( sometimes very expensive ) data roaming

Besides green ondulation is not provided in many countries.

So is it really worth ?

Distance and calories not syncing when playing golf

Hi,

I have a garmin approach s50. When playing golf , my distance covered and calories burned do not pull through to garmin connect app.

Every other activity I do does . Its very frustrating

Ive tried pairing and unpairing. Ive tried switching on " record" activity in golf settings .

Tried plugging Into a laptop and syncing on garmin express , without success .

I only got the watch in November, have played around d 10 rounds, and only twice has the Information pulled through.

All updates have been done, and as I mentioned earlier, gym sessions, runs, walks , etc all appear instantly in the garmin app........not the golf info though.

When I score a round, the score appears on garmin connect, but not the calories/ distance .

My old garmin approach did this every time !

Cannot enter 18 hole score

I use s50 in large number mode. After finishing every green I cannot enter score but when I move to next hole s50 prompts to enter last hole score. But after 18 hole green there is no any prompt. I cannot enter the score other than go to score card enter the score and than finish round. In small numbers mode there is edit tool in the bottom of the display but it looks like it was forgotten in large font mode.

I purchased a new S50. In the course I encounter different issues.

When I play off the tee the watch asks for the club I played with.
I enter the club and it starts counting the distance when I walk to the ball.
Having arrived there, how can I ‘tell it’ that this is then ending point?
When I play the next shot with the PW it doesn’t detect it as a new shot mostly.
(I don’t own a C1/CT10).
When I play a practice swing it starts detecting by asking for the club.
How can I easily pauze the detection for practice swings?
Today I played a par-3 course, 9 holes. The course is found by the watch and
I selected it. I also that that I want it to keep record of the scores. While playing,
it only shows the distances to the green, it does not show any bunkers, water, etc.
I don’t expect a detailed view, but I can not select any hazard anywhere. When I played
a par-4 hole on another course some days ago, it only showed bunkers on that hole,
not at the par-3 holes.

Can you please help me out? Thanks in advance!

I've seen conflicting information online, so I'm hoping to get it directly from an owner or Garmin; does the S50 have the option to use a Virtual Caddie if you have the paid subscription? Whether that require a phone or not.

My watch has been draining battery like crazy(20-30% a day) for past couple days. I am using stock watch face and I normally can get through 24 hours using about 12-15%. I tried to check my settings and also found out the wifi sync shows transfer completed 1 file failed with red circle. Wondering if it could the reason it is draining my battery. I tried reset the watch and delete data, it doesn’t seem to help. Could the recent update causes all this?
