S20 Approach shuts down and has to be restarted

My S20 is two and half years old, it will switch off after about six holes and has to be started from scratch. This thereafter happens several times during the round. I have soft reset, factory reset and updated but it still keeps cutting out. The battery charges OK and runs down as normal. What can I do to rectify this I do not want to replace the watch after only two and half years.

Thanks Chris, I did follow the freezing and rebooting instructions and I deleted the scorecard files but it still shuts down after a while.

I have the same issue with my S20 - it is about a year old. On multiple occasions in the middle of a round I will look to the S20 for yardage and it will prompt me to Start Round. I have no other option…

Your troubleshooting steps were good. In addition to what you have already tried, follow this Garmin Support Center article for Freezing and Rebooting and try all listed steps not already done. Your Golf watch may have a corrupt file causing the behavior and deleting them could resolve your issue.

I have the same issue with my S20 - it is about a year old. On multiple occasions in the middle of a round I will look to the S20 for yardage and it will prompt me to Start Round. I have no other option than to restart the round, and the scoring is lost.

Can anything be done to fix this?

Any answer on this? Having the same issue. Will close the round after about 20 minutes.
