The old S40 counted Stableford points. The menu structure of S12 is completely different. Now, I find only strokes and no Stableford points.

We have fully released Software Version 5.10 for the Approach S12. This is not 100% live.

Changes since 5.00:

Fixed issue to ensure we use teebox, par and handicap data from downloaded auto course update files.
Fixed issue with front/back dots not showing on Green on main golf page.

Can I put my handicap into the S12

Lightning of the screen

S12 does not save games

We have two S12 watches. One used by my wife (the white one), one used by me (the black one). Both do not save games anymore even when we select safe game after a round. On mine the last one saved was of May 2025. On the white watch it is April 2025. After fiddling around for hours in the apps and on the web pages today’s game was saved on mine, not on my wife’s one. When I plug them on to the PC (different ones) I see that the file save dates in the scorecards folder corresponds with what is displayed on the web page.

I do not know what exactly changed the behaviour of my watch last night. And I do not know if this is lasting. Likewise I do not know how to get the white one into cooperative mode.

Would appreciate any hints to debug and ideally fix the problems.

On Garmin Golf App, could not view shot maps after score card edit with no changes made.

S12 with sensors and Garmin golf for android app. After finishing a round, I wanted to look at the number of putts for each hole. I went into scorecard edit, and stepped through each hole. Then I did a 'previous' on the app to get back to the summary screen without doing any edits or doing a 'SAVE'. The shot maps option was no longer available on the summary screen. Is there anything I can do on the app to get the shot map view?

S12 measure shot function. I am sat in my back garden. I select measure shot and stay still. The screen increases to 14 yards without any movement at all. Any thoughts please?

I have been gifted an S12 and I have an S20. When I’m finished my round and sync to my phone the old S20 shows a map of all the holes and my shots on each one. Does this new S12 not do this?

Can I recalibrate distances in my Appoach S10

When compared to the golf course measurements it seems my Approach S10 gives me 10 yards short distances. Can I recalibrate my Appoach S10?

S2 looses satellite connection after about 14 holes.

I have had an issues for the last year and a bit. Tried updating the watch and the battery is good. The satellite connection usually last about 14 holes then I loose satellite for the remainder of the game.

Recharge for the next round and the same thing happens?

My brother has an S20 (I assume that the S12 is a similar device). As he describes things this device senses and records every full shot that he takes. He does not have any club sensors so it does not know what club he is hitting. But if he hits a 4 iron from the middle of the fairway on the 4th hole this shot will get recorded and can be part of the round data that he can upload to Garmin Connect (or whatever). As shots get 'smaller' (chip shots, putts, etc) it becomes less reliable but full shots seem to work pretty darn well as he describes things. AND it does not detect practice swings somehow.

What technology is Garmin using to detect these swings and is it the same technology across the entire Approach line from the S12 up to the S70?

I have an S12 and it shows distances to water hazards on my local course. My playing partner also has an S12, purchased new only last Christmas, and it does not show them. He also has a G12 which does show them. Why might this be?

the code to connect doesn’t even pop up I have an iPhone 13 and I don’t see any issues online about it but I can use the wat h at all cause there is no connecting at all

DistanceWalked key/value in JSON export with S12 and CT10

There is no step counter on the Approach S12 as far as I am aware but I was looking into the exported data and there is a key/value called distanceWalked in the DI_CONNECT/DI-GOLF/Golf-SCORECARD.json. Some of the values I saw were 11960, 12064, and 10509. It seems like these are likely meters walked but I'm not quite sure about the data. For example, my last round I used a golf cart and it says I walked 7.5 miles. I am also using my S12 with my CT10's on all my clubs - perhaps that is tracking things in a roundabout way? Can anyone shed some light on what this stat means?

Syncing S12 recent rounds

I have updated my software (3.0) for my S12. Most recent rounds, which I've saved in my watch are not showing up on my activity. It shows rounds from months ago. So no recent rounds despite being saved are showing up. Any thoughts, ideas or suggestions? I was hoping that when saved they'd show on my activity.
