  • Quickdraw Contour Conversion

I collected sonar data for a 3 mile long lake with tracks spaced about 150 feet apart. I thought I would be able to export the contours for use in my Montana so I can locate structures for ice fishing in the winter. Garmin's response was there is no intent to make the contours available in other formats. The suggestion was to copy the contours from Garmin Connect Lake contours web page and paste them into a jpeg file. I spent about 10 hours doing this. I then had a company convert the image into an ESRI shapefile of contours. I spent several days editing the Quickdraw data busts and the weird shapes near shore. so I can now export to a gpx file. But each contour line is an individual track. Not practical.

Any ideas on how I can convert the contour data into something that I can load to my Montana and share with others?

    Try this:

From your good files, you'll get an overlay map.
