  • Strings being converted to funny numbers??

    I'm trying to display a modified string but the string resource gets converted to a funny number. The unmodified string works.

    Definition of string in resource:

    <string id="appVersion">1.0.6</string>

    Code to build the string:

    strVersion = Rez.Strings.appVersion + " [-]";

    As it shows up:

    5749 [-]

    I've seen this happen in other case too.

    Actually, you're not loading it right.

    Code:
        var a=Rez.Strings.ver;
        var b=Ui.loadResource(Rez.Strings.ver);
        Sys.println(""+a+"  "+b);

    output:

    1883  1.0.6
    you need to use the Ui.loadResource()

      Thanks. It works in some cases. That is, one doesn't always get numbers.

      I minght not be the only person not loading it right!
