App runs in Simulator but not on watch

Hi! I´m a hobby developer from Austria and have recently created an App that assists Helth Care Professionals when performing CPR.

I tried to side-load this app onto my Garmin vivoactive 3 music but the app won´t start even though it runs perfectly in the simulator. It doens´t display any errors on the watch, it just doesn´t start or do anything at all. The watch doens´t freeze either.

I was hoping to find some information on how this issue could be fixed

Hi, I built it and side loaded it onto my va3m and it works fine.

When I start I see a menu Start/Exit and if I select start it starts just as in the simulator. How are you starting the app?

So, yo tap on the IQ icon and nothing happens? That is strange as it works just fine for me and if it were crashing, I'd expect an IQ! would appear.

I'd suggest you re-start your watch and ensure it's on the latest firmware since I think in principle the app works fine. There's just something odd going on on your watch.

Checkout the GARMIN\Apps\LOGS directory and look to see if there is a CIQ_LOG file. If so this may contain something useful, but as I mentioned above, if there was a problem, I'd still expect to see something on the screen.

Exactly, no IQ! No nothing.

I was thinking maybe i f**ed up the nuild and sideloading process and i have an old version of the app on my watch.

Edit: i also tired to start an "empty" app (the thing thats automaticly created when you start a new project) and i get the same issue

Are you running the latest firmware on the watch? What version?

Have you tried rebooting the watch? Hold the button for 15-20 seconds until the watch turns itself off and then back on.

Solved: I had to restart the watch and now everything works, thank you all very much!
