I have an app that I submitted as Beta so that I can test it out internally before publishing for wider use. The app is was submitted on the 9th of October 2019 and as of 20th Nov still sit as pending approval. Is there any additional step needed or any criteria that needs to be met ?
Beta apps are never approved. It's a way that you and you alone can install it from the app store.
When you add a non-beta app, the developer can download it before it's approved too
Check your developer dashboard on the website for the store.
One thing, is based on your stage in development, you can just build sideloads and not use the app store at all. With a sideload, you can also include the debug symbols, which helps if your app crashes…
In the upper right corner of the main image there's a red triangle with "Beta" on it.
