Avoid overlapping data field content by Varia Radar lateral band

I have been asked for modifying one of my datafields to avoid some content being overlapped by upper icon and side band used by Varia Radar.

In order not to move data field content more than it is necedsary, it would be useful to have answer to following questions:

Is it a way to know if a varia radar is connected to the device?
What is the size in pixels of the area covered by icon and side band?
Does it depend on the device screen dimensions?

No.

This depends on the device.

I don't think the indicator size is directly proportional to the screen size, but I'm sure they are related. Using the big icon from the edge1030 probably wouldn't work well on a tiny display like the edge130.

Travis.ConnectIQ has this changed over the last 3 years? From a data field, can I know if a RADAR is connected? I'd like to adjust my layout if so to avoid the radar status bitmap on the top right of the screen. I think the ANT support has improved over the years.
