The application was previously distributed through the Beta channel and uploaded successfully using the same project and the same signing key.

The Store URL is: apps.garmin.com/.../1679c143-4f3d-44cb-b933-bb8f38636025 The application manifest contains: 1679c143-4f3d-44cb-b933-bb8f38636025

When uploading an update (both as the public and as beta version) , Connect IQ Store reports: "The app ID contained in the manifest file differs from the ID originally registered for this application."

The UUID in the manifest matches the UUID in the Store URL.

No changes were made to the signing key or application ID.

This started immediately after the publication process, during the period when Connect IQ upload services were experiencing communication/server issues.

Could someone please verify whether the application record in the Store is correctly associated with the manifest UUID? Or what else shall I do to actualize the application?

I want nice things: reasonable image size limitations.

I want to discuss the store image size limitations.

While I understand that the current limitations (Cover Images & Icons: 500x500px, max 300KB and Screen Images max 150KB) were perhaps justified 10-15years ago, today those feel wildly out of touch.

Today the store images are either tiny or blurry on mid-to-high -range smartphones, which i assume is the most common way to browse the store.

I'd love to see Garmin upping those limits to at least something around 1024px 1.5mb for both types.

In the end this the most critical touchpoint between the product and a purchase and as a developer I'd like to make my apps shine and not be restricted by outdated limitations.

RE: I want nice things: reasonable image size limitations.

I agree with your questions, just one small thing to add: if you (though rather Garmin should do it) want to see the full picture, then don't forget Garmin Express and the website that can be (again) used to search and see app details on a desktop browser.

But even taking all these into account surely if there need to be some compromises made, then the most used platform to look at the images should dictate the sizes, and my guess is that it's the average phone size and the Connect IQ app (but Garmin can look at their data, they don't need to guess, and if they don't have stats about the screen size, then they should probably start to collect data about that at least in the apps, but maybe also in the website

RE: I want nice things: reasonable image size limitations.

thanks frinkr flocsy🤠 (237419224e814eb7be09ba868d70607f). my problem is not a technical in the sense that i don't know how to optimize pngs or gifs.
Thanks for the suggestion.

During merchant onboarding Garmin asked me which currency I wanted to charge in, and I selected USD. That's why the system is now asking me to provide a USD payout account.

I'm actually not sure whether I can still change the currency at this stage.

In any case, the main issue seems to be the payout setup itself. My French IBAN (USD account) can't be entered because of the account number field format, and my Wise USD account is rejected because the SWIFT/BIC is flagged as unsupported.

Just curious, were you able to complete merchant onboarding with a EUR account? If so, what type of bank account did you use?

Thanks!

Merchant onboarding blocked – valid Wise SWIFT/BIC rejected

Hi,

I’m currently blocked at the final stage of Connect IQ merchant onboarding and wanted to check whether others have experienced something similar.

Context:

Non-US tax resident

Trying to configure USD payout account

French IBAN cannot be entered because the account number field only accepts numeric values up to 19 digits

I then tried using Wise USD account details instead

The Wise USD account number is accepted, but the SWIFT/BIC is rejected with:

“Swift code has an unsupported format.”

Tested with:

TRWIUS35XXX

TRWIUS35

Both are valid Wise SWIFT/BIC identifiers.

The onboarding form only requests:

account number

SWIFT/BIC

I already emailed ConnectIQAppAdmin@garmin.com with screenshots and technical details several days ago but have not yet received a reply.

I have already paid the USD 100 merchant registration fee and am now fully blocked at the payout setup step despite being ready to publish paid apps.

Has anyone encountered this before?
Does Garmin merchant onboarding support Wise/Revolut-type institutions, or only traditional banks?

My Merchant Onboarding is stuck on the final legal disclosures step.

Current status:

- Personal details: Verified
- Payout bank account: Verified
- Business setup: Individual
- Country: Spain
- Final step shown: “Review and sign legal disclosures”

The issue is that the legal disclosures page does not render any actionable UI. There is no checkbox, signature field, Continue button, or anything else that allows me to complete the step.

In Chrome DevTools console I see:

“No task status for this account”

This appears to come from AcceptTermsOfService. The Adyen onboarding context appears to load successfully, but the disclosure/signing task itself does not render.

I have already tried refreshing, Chrome, another browser, incognito/private window, and clearing browser state. The onboarding page remains stuck.

I also emailed connectiqappadmin@garmin.com on May 26 with screenshots and details, but have not received a response yet.

Could someone from Garmin please check or reset/unblock the merchant onboarding state for my developer account?

I'd like to offer a 7-day free trial so users can try the app before committing to purchase.

What I've checked so far:

Application.AppBase.isTrial()
and
getTrialDaysRemaining()
exist in the API docs, but it's unclear whether they integrate with a Garmin Pay paid listing, or only with the older Garmin-native paid-app system. The "Trial Apps" core topic page doesn't say either way.

The developer portal for our listing doesn't appear to expose an "enable trial" toggle, but I may be missing it.

The Aug 2024 Garmin Pay launch press release mentions the 48-hour refund window but says nothing about trials.

KiezelPay-using apps (Crystal Reborn, Lumeo, etc.) offer trials, but they list on Connect IQ as free entries with KiezelPay handling payment outside the storefront, not as Garmin Pay paid listings.

My questions:

Is there a current way to enable a trial period for a Garmin Pay paid app? If yes, what's the developer-portal step, and does it tie into
isTrial()
/
getTrialDaysRemaining()
in code?

If not, is trial support on the Garmin Pay roadmap?

If the only path today is to migrate off Garmin Pay to KiezelPay (or to run a paid + free-with-KiezelPay sibling pair), is that the official recommendation?

Thanks for any clarity here.

RE: Adding a 7-day trial to a Garmin Pay paid app: what's the official path?

Thanks for the corrections, both right. KiezelPay is NOT a legacy payment method, it is a 3rd Party payment solution and is currently still very much in use - I assume there are other 3rd party payment providers.

Application.AppBase.isTrial()
has nothing to do with 3rd Party payment providers

'but they're free listings running their own paywall' - this statement contradicts itself, how can they be free if they have a paywall?

And for anyone reading this KiezelPay allows any trial period the developer wants to use - minutes, hours, days.

PS I am not affiliated with KiezelPay but I have successfully used them for the last 5 years.

RE: Adding a 7-day trial to a Garmin Pay paid app: what's the official path?

Thanks Jim, that confirms what I'd pieced together from the docs. Pushed two PRs to your fork — kept them tight and independent so you can take one or
both:

#6 — Auto-detect currency from CSV 👉 github.com/.../6
The dashboard was hardcoding $ everywhere, which meant anyone paid in EUR/GBP/JPY/etc. saw
the wrong symbol. This reads the Share Currency column from each row, figures out the
dominant currency, and uses the right symbol in all the stats cards, axes, tooltips and
forecasts. Covers ~25 ISO codes, falls back gracefully for any I missed. USD users see zero
change.

#7 — Optional Windows launcher 👉 github.com/.../7
Just a .bat + a PowerShell shortcut installer for Windows users who don't want to live in the
terminal. Drop it if you'd rather keep the repo terminal-pure — no hard feelings.

Both target your default branch. You can load the sales reports that are available on the apps-developer portal (Merchant account > Documents > "+ Request") and it'll give you some charts and insights. There's an option to load some sample data on the home page if you want to play around with it. Everything runs locally in your browser, no tracking or data collection.
