altimeter shows wrong values

my altimeter shows wrong values ,
if I do calibration by GPS or manually the values are fine but instead of keeping calibrated values , the altitude start running freely from -100 to 6000 meters

Fenix 2 showing either the Garmin logo or a blank screen, but nothing else

After hours trying to get my Fenix 2 to reboot in following the Garmin helpdesk processes, my watch was still either showing a blank screen or the Garmin logo exclusively...

The US helpdesk offered an exchange (thumbs up!) but then had to hand me off to the French desk who couldn't do anything for me (thumbs down).

Very frustrated, I found a way to fix the issue by myself and would like to share it so that other users can hopefully also benefit from it:

while pressing on START + BACK + UP + DOWN, I connected the Fenix 2 to my PC
the usual "software loader" message showed but this time it unlocked the watch
I erased the GPX and ACTIVITY folders of the watch from my PC
my Fenix 2 is now up and running

Is a cheap Fenix 2 worth it? + general questions

I'm new to sports watches and I've been keeping an eye out for a sports watch to see if something cheep comes along (after seeing my friends Fenix 4)

I've been using my phone to track mt biking (GPS, time, altitude, speed) and I was looking for something to not carry my phone. heart rate and music would be a plus too. I consider myself an enthusiast not so much an athlete so I don't need 100% accuracy

I know the Fenix 2 doesn't have heart rate (without the strap) or music but it's very cheap and imo looks good. I'm in Switzerland and I've found someone selling it for 120. That's 220 cheaper than anything I can find online.

So is the Fenix 2 worth it? If not, why? And do you have any recommendations?

Hallo Leute,

ich will nun auch auf die fenix 3 umsteigen von meiner Fenix 2, damit ich an meinem anderen Handgelenk mein Jawbone nicht mehr tragen muss und alles in einem Gerät kombiniere.
Ich überlege nun ob ich das Performance Bundle bestelle mit einem neuen HRM, oder ob ich einfach den alten HRM weiter benutze. Hat der neue, er sieht ja anders aus, bessere Funktionieren? Mein "alter" funktioniert eigentlich noch super...

Datenmigration Fenix 2-->Fenix 3

Hallo zusammen,
hat schon mal jemand historische Aktivitäten einer Fenix 2 zu einer Fenix 3 migriert?
Ich dachte, ich brauche nur die *.fit-DAteien in den Activity-Ordner zu kopieren.
Aber die Fenix3 kann offenbar mit den fit-Dateien der Fenix 3 nichts anfangen.

Fenix 3 Armband and Fenix 2 ?

Hallo und frohe Ostern zusammen

Vielleicht kann mir einer von euch die Frage beantworten ob die Armbänder der Fenix 3 auch an die Fenix 2 passen.
Die Kunstoffarmbänder der Fenix 3 haben eine schöne Auswahl an Farben.
