Why does Garmin carry over the hydration logged during an activity into the daily stats, but not the nutrition?

I've been tracking my fluid intake for a while now. When I log hydration during an activity, it also shows up in my daily hydration tracking. But when I log the calories I've consumed during an activity, they aren't carried over to my Connect+ nutrition tracking, so I have to enter them a second time. Surely this would be easy to add for Connect+ subscribers.

Request to change colors on the sleep stages graph

I like the chart that shows the time spend in each sleep phase. However, the colors used for REM and for Awake are too similar to be distinguishable, particularly on my phone. Can you please change these to make them more obvious?

Feature Request: Option for Group Administrators to block manual posts/entries

Hello Garmin Community and Support Team,

I would like to submit a feature request regarding the group management settings in Garmin Connect. Currently, group administrators lack the option to restrict or block users from adding manual posts or entries to the group feed. In larger groups, every manual post generates a high volume of push notifications for all participants. Unfortunately, this constant flow of notifications is becoming very disruptive, causing many active members to leave the groups entirely.

Since all tracked activities are already synchronized and displayed automatically, manual entries are often redundant and clutter the feed.

It would be a fantastic improvement if group administrators were given a setting to disable manual posting, allowing the feed to only show automated activity uploads. This simple feature would greatly improve user experience, reduce group abandonment, and help us maintain a clean, distraction-free environment for our members.

Wie kann ich in der garmin connect+ app bzw. Website ein Kraftraining für den Kalender ohne Übungsauswahl erstellen? Ich kann kein Kraftraining erstellen, ohne Übungen auswählen zu müssen. Meine Trainingsübungen dokumentiere ich anders und unaufwendiger, möchte aber das Training im Kalender planen.

Warum gibt es keine Auszeichnung für die Challenge "Ein Schritt auf das Podium im September"? Ich war am 7.9. auf Platz drei und es gab KEINE Auszeichnung. Mehr als ärgerlich, wenn man am Sonntag dafür nochmal richtig "reingehauen" hat.

Die Challenge für September stimmen nicht mit dem genannten Datum überein. Auch gibt es für die Zeit 31.08. -06.09.26 kein "Ein Schritt auf das Podium" oder wurde auch hier ein falsches Datum für den September genannt.

No VO2 MAX or Fitness Age Showing on Garmin Connect App.

I am trying to get my garmin connect app to show me my VO2Max data and Fitness age.
It’s says “We need a little more data for your most current fitness age”.

I’m using Garmin Edge 1050, with synced Garmin HRM, Garmin crank sensor and Garmin wheel sensor. I’ve put in all my personal stats in, age, weight, height etc and cannot get it to show. My cycle rides are average 22 miles and around 1 hour 20 minutes. I’m using an E mountain bike.

I got my Garmin Fenix 8 recently and really frustrated during sleep... As soon as I wake up to use the washroom the watch wakes up and won't say that I slept anymore for the rest of the night. I've had other smart watches that work great. The Google pixel which what I had before tracked flawlessly for a watch that's so expensive. This should be something that's fixed through it with their software algorithms. I don't understand

Is Garmin working on a fix for these sleep algorithm softwares? Because this is just almost making me want to return this device, they can't do something so simple that other devices can do

I invested over 500 CHF in a Garmin watch, expecting a top-of-the-line model. What a disappointment. In 2026, while artificial intelligence can generate complex databases in seconds, Garmin still can't offer a coherent library of strength training exercises, or even allow users to easily create their own.

How can the absence of such a fundamental movement as the glute bridge be explained? How can the inability to freely customize an exercise library with instructional videos be justified? These aren't luxury features, but basic expectations for a product at this price.

Garmin excels in GPS, battery life, and endurance sports. However, the strength training aspect feels like it's been neglected for years. For a brand that positions itself as a leader in connected fitness, this lack of attention to its customers is hard to accept.

I am deeply disappointed with this purchase. At this price point, I expected a polished product, not an experience that forces you to work around such incomprehensible limitations.

Automatisches Zuordnen von Fahrrädern/Ausrüstung

Eher ein Requirement als eine Frage aber ich weiß nicht wohin damit.

Ich ärgere mich immer wieder dass ich meine Fahrräder nicht automatisch auf die Aktivitäten zugeteilt bekomme.

einfaches Beispiel. Ich habe ein Gravelbike und ein Liegerad (gleiches sicher auch für E-bike Fahren und Mountainbike)

Warum kann ich die Standardausrüstung nur für die Oberklasse Fahrradfahren auswählen? Es ist ( Hase Pino jetzt mal ausgenommen) doch offensichtlich dass ich zum Liegeradfahren ein anderes Fahrrad brauche, wenn ich die Aktivität auf Liegeradfahren umstelle muss ich dann zusätzlich noch die Ausrüstung ändern damit es dem richtigen Fahrrad zugeordnet wird.

Noch einfacher wäre es, wenn ich im Edge (540) verschiedene Profile anlegen, Gravel, Liegerad, E-bike… und jedes Fahrrad dann automatisch gleich zu der Aktivität zuordnen die ich im Edge aufgezeichnet habe. Aktivität Liegerad finde ich in der Connect App aber nicht im Edge und wenn ich die Aktivität in der Connect App auf Liegerad umstelle muss ich zusätzlich noch die Ausrüstung ändern, mich nervt dieses doppelte Umstellen einfach aber ich will den Überblick haben welches Fahrrad wie weit gefahren ist.

wenn ich einen Hügel mit 100 Höhenmetern hochlaufe, wird mir unter "Anstieg gesamt" korrekt 100m angezeigt. Wenn ich diesen Hügel aber 2 Mal laufe, wird mir immer noch 100m (anstatt der korrekten 200m) angezeigt. Habe ich etwas falsch eingestellt?

Wenn ich in Garmin Connect die Funktion "Höhenquelle ändern" verwende, wird die Höhe des Anstiegs korrigiert. Was mache ich falsch?

vivosmart HR measures heart rate correctly but Garmin Connect shows "No heart rate data" and no sleep data

Hello everyone,

I'm experiencing a very strange issue with my Garmin vivosmart HR and I'm hoping someone has seen this before.

My watch pairs and synchronizes with Garmin Connect without any errors. Bluetooth connection is stable and Garmin Connect always reports that synchronization has completed successfully.

However, Garmin Connect never displays any heart rate or sleep data. On the Heart Rate page it simply says "No heart rate data".

The strange part is that the watch itself appears to be working perfectly.

Here's what I've verified:

Garmin vivosmart HR is connected via Bluetooth.
Synchronization always completes successfully.
The watch continuously measures my heart rate.
Heart rate values are displayed correctly on the watch and change in real time.
If I remove the watch for about an hour, it correctly detects that it is no longer being worn and stops measuring heart rate. As soon as I put it back on, heart rate measurement resumes normally.
The optical heart rate sensor is working (green LEDs are on).
The watch is worn correctly.
Date and time are correct.
I have already performed a factory reset and paired the watch from scratch.
Manual synchronization completes successfully every time.
The Broadcast Heart Rate ("Send Mode") option was disabled initially. I enabled it, but it made no difference.

Since the watch is clearly measuring heart rate correctly, it seems that the recorded heart rate data is either not being transferred to Garmin Connect or not being processed correctly. As a consequence, sleep tracking is also completely missing, since sleep detection relies on heart rate data.

Device information:

Watch: Garmin vivosmart HR
Software version: 4.60
Hardware version: 10.02.34
Phone: Samsung Galaxy XCover6 Pro (SM-G736B)
Garmin Connect: latest version available from Google Play
Android: latest version available for the device

Has anyone experienced this issue?

I'm especially wondering whether this could be:

a firmware issue,
an incompatibility between the very old vivosmart HR and current Android/Garmin Connect versions,
or another setting that prevents heart rate and sleep data from being uploaded even though the watch is measuring correctly.

One additional question:

Has anyone recently used a vivosmart HR successfully with Android 14 or Android 15 and the current Garmin Connect app?

If so, are 24/7 heart rate and sleep data syncing correctly?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I turn blue tooth of, and wait till the sleep monitor send all data to the garmin conncet. but the last two mornings, after transfer the data from sleep monitor to the app, and reconnect the watch with blue tooth, the data was overwritten by the watch (with no stress data) thats very frustrating. Can the data retrieved from the sleeping monitor?
