View Full Version : What are the correct setting for the HR feature?

On the 310 you can use either Max or Reserve. Which One is Garmin Connect using? And which One should I be using?

Secondly, what should I be using as the % for each zone?
Currently I have it as;
Zone 1 = 46%-53%
Zone 2 = 53%-76%
Zone 3 = 76%-87%
Zone 4 = 87%-94%
Zone 5 = 94%-100%

If anyone could help me set this up I'd be very grateful. What are the correct percentages, are these them already?

There's a whole debate ready to be fired up here on which way to go. Over on RunSaturday - http://www.runsaturday.com/Talk/g/posts/m/14412#14412 there's been some discussion on this. It's fair to say that the majority view would be to use %age of heart rate reserve %HRR.
