I am interested in getting a Garmin running watch I have started runnning in the last year but also do alot of mountain biking so want something I can use for both. I need GPS I also need some kind of route guidance (someone told me you can get some that beep at you when you go off route) ive seen that this one http://sites.garmin.com/fenix/#buy but its expensive any other options ?

Using the compare feature on Garmin's site would be a good start. Most of them give an off course warnings if you are following a course and you are not on it. Sometimes that can be annoying if your GPS signal is weak and your device thinks you are off course when you're not
