View Full Version : Forerunner 310 cracked case

My 310 has developed a crack right where the strap pin goes into the body. My strap popped off today due to the pin falling out. Has anybody else seen this happen? I assume this will be covered under warranty but still a bummer to be without it for a couple weeks. I have included a photo of it. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3507/4024673186_6cfa2a8693.jpg

You forgot to attach the photo.

Oops, first time adding a picture and the link through Flickr didn't include the .jpg extension. I have fixed it now.

I haven't seen that and I like my watch tight. I'm sure it will be covered under warranty.

Thanks. I will keep an eye on mine. I think I may move to a velcro strap so it doesn't put so much stress on the watch.

I did switch to the Quick Release system, too. So don't know if that doesn't put as much pressure on the pins maybe?

I did just change to a velcro strap (from Walmart), but I'm glad that I still have my 305 as a backup.

An update on the status of my unit. Road Runner Sports in Seattle exchanged mine for a brand new one after contacting Garmin. I must say, Garmin takes a while sometimes to deal with software issues, but I have always had outstanding results when I have had hard ware issues. They have their share of problems but they seem to deal with them well from my experience.
