Make sure the watch and app are completely removed from your old phone before starting fresh on your new one, as it may have partially installed. On your old phone, uninstall the Garmin Connect app and unpair the Epix from Bluetooth settings. Temporarily disable Bluetooth or shut down the phone. On your new phone, open the Garmin Connect app, go to More > Garmin Devices > Epix > 3-dot menu > Remove Device, if it exists. On your new phone go to Bluetooth settings, unpair the Epix. Restart both your new phone and your watch. Put your Epix in pairing mode: Menu > Connectivity > Phone > Pair Phone. Currently, users can track standard push-ups, but several important variations are not easy to classify accurately. These exercises are commonly used in strength training, calisthenics, martial arts, functional training, and advanced bodyweight progression programs. It would be very helpful if Garmin could add the following exercises: One-Arm Push-Up — A push-up performed with only one hand on the ground, emphasizing unilateral upper-body strength, core stability, and anti-rotation control. One-Arm One-Leg Push-Up — An advanced variation performed with one hand and one foot on the ground, increasing the demand on balance, core tension, shoulder stability, and full-body coordination. Contralateral One-Arm One-Leg Push-Up — A variation performed with one hand and the opposite foot supporting the body, creating a diagonal stability challenge across the torso and hips. Single-Arm Push-Up — A general classification for push-up variations where one arm performs most or all of the pressing work. Single-Leg Push-Up — A push-up performed with one leg lifted, increasing core engagement, hip stability, and balance requirements. Archer Push-Up — A push-up where one arm bends while the other remains extended to the side, helping build strength toward one-arm push-ups. Uneven Push-Up — A push-up performed with the hands at different heights or positions, increasing asymmetrical loading and shoulder stabilization demands. Offset Push-Up — A push-up with one hand placed forward and the other farther back, challenging shoulder control, trunk stability, and coordination. Pseudo Planche Push-Up — A push-up performed with the hands positioned closer to the hips and the body leaning forward, increasing load on the shoulders, chest, triceps, and anterior core. Having these exercises available as distinct entries would allow users to track their training more accurately instead of logging them generically as standard push-ups. Adding these variations would improve Garmin’s strength-training ecosystem for users who follow bodyweight strength progressions, calisthenics routines, corrective exercise programs, martial arts conditioning, and advanced functional training. It would be very valuable if Garmin could offer a structured option based on the NASM Corrective Exercise approach , especially the four commonly recommended modules: Inhibit — myofascial release techniques, such as foam roller or lacrosse ball exercises Lengthen (or Mobility ) — static stretching and mobility-focused flexibility work Activation — isolated strengthening or activation exercises for underactive muscles (this one already exists) Integrate ( Exercise )— integrated functional movements that reinforce proper movement patterns, can be understood as the Exercise already implemented This structure would help users organize corrective exercise, mobility, warm-up, recovery, and strength-training sessions in a more systematic and purposeful way. Today we only have options such as Warm-Up, Activation, Coll-down and the addition of Inhibit, Lengthen ( Mobility) For example, a user could build a routine in Garmin Connect with sections such as: Inhibit: foam rolling calves, glutes, lats, or thoracic spine, etc Lengthen (Mobility): static stretching for hip flexors, hamstrings, calves, or chest Activate: glute bridges, band pull-aparts, dead bugs, or scapular activation drills Integrate (Exercise): squats, lunges, step-ups, carries, or other functional strength movements Adding these modules would make Garmin’s strength-training ecosystem more complete, especially for users who follow structured approaches to movement quality, corrective exercise, injury prevention, mobility, and long-term athletic development.
