Hello! Was excited to hear about HTH's enhanced courses being accessible for R10 users - the problem for me and im assuming other users, is the aspect ratio for projector setups. For people who don't have tablets, we are limited to the built in resolution the phone provides which is causing alot of blank space on 4:3 screens. It would be a massive deal to be able to adjust your resolution in app similar to how Awesome Golf does it.

would anyone be able to provide updates on when more enhanced courses will be added to HTH? It would be awesome to see a roadmap for future releases, or even get an email notifying users when an update is upcoming and what features or improvements are part of that update. The latest update for 1.0.8 didn't list what improvements were in the update, and I wasn't able to find any differences between the previous update and the 1.0.8 update.

Really liking the new Home Tee Hero app with my R10. However my older phone can get quite hot and high battery consumption while streaming to TV/ and/ or charging during use. Therefore just purchased a flagship Samsung tablet in order to play on a bigger screen for better / larger interface and stunned that it is not available for download in Google Playstore. The system is way beyond the minimum system requirements so this makes no sense to me.

Are you planning Android tablet support shortly, or do I have to contemplate returning an expensive paperweight because of this massive oversight.

I have version 1.0.5. on my tablet. My phone has 1.0.7. I've only been using my phone lately so I haven't tried to update to 1.0.7. But was able to update to 1.0.5. by completely deleting it from tablet then using the smart switch app to install new version.

Why would Garmin announce the launch of HTH ver 1.0.7 regarding the water hazard drop issue and ask for feedback but then lock the thread from replies? Also... TABLET SUPPORT!

So I managed to forward HTH via Samsung Smart Switch months ago to my new tablet, and it's been working fine for the most part other than the water hazard drop issue.

So forward to today when Garmin announces HTH 1.0.7 with a supposed fix and asks for feedback if issues still persist. Then immediately locks the thread for replies...?

So I went to go try it out, but quickly realized that my phone amd tablet versions are not the same. So the tablet version (that I use weekly) has not updated since 1.0.3. Guess I should not be surprised since Garmin still refuses to accommodate those who want to play a proper Sim where they can see a screen interface larger than a few inches from 4 feet away.

Also seems I cannot again forward the new version using Samsung Smart Switch from my phone like I did before , (maybe that's because I have not uninstalled 1.0.3 for fear of losing it on the tablet altogether.? )

I would appreciate it if Garmin just gave us the same version as the phone version legitimately on Samsung Tablets. It Works - except for Garmin getting in their own way.

Hi again. Garmin just announced a new update to HTH with respect to the water hazard drop issues. It's version 1.0.7 now but I see the one I loaded to my samsung S10+ tablet is stuck at 1.0.3 and can uodate it. (Also lists the app as no longer compatibke but still works...). I also don't seem to be able to transfer the new version from my phone to the tablet again with Samsung Smart Switch, (I have not Uninstalled 1.0.3 yet for fear I will lose it altogether).

What version are you currently using in your tablet? And are you able to get 1.0.7?

Thank you all so much for your patience. We believe we have fixed this issue through software version: (4.20 for R50, 1.0.7 for HTH app). If you haven’t updated to the latest software version please do so, and test to see if you are still seeing the issue. If you have downloaded the latest software and are still experiencing the issue, please create a new thread and we can collect more information to continue troubleshooting.

Hi Garmin Home Tee Hero team,

I'm a daily Home Tee Hero user on an Approach R10 simulator setup, and I want to flag a gap that's holding the app back from being a serious practice tool.

Right now, shot data (ball speed, launch, spin, carry, club path, etc.) is only visible for a moment immediately after each shot. Once I move on, that data is gone — there's no way to review a shot, a hole, or a full round afterward, and no way to export it.

This is the single biggest limitation in an otherwise excellent app. Here's why fixing it matters:

Practice without review isn't practice. The whole value of a launch monitor is spotting patterns over many shots — a creeping miss, club gapping, dispersion. If the numbers vanish after each shot, that analysis is impossible. The data is already being captured and rendered; it just isn't being retained.

It's a competitive gap. TrackMan, GSPro, and Awesome Golf all let users review shot maps and pull their data afterward. For R10/R50 owners weighing a subscription, persistent and exportable data is a real differentiator — and right now it's a reason to look elsewhere.

It's a frequent, organic request. Your own App Store and Play Store reviews repeatedly ask for post-round shot maps and advanced metric review. This isn't a niche ask; it's one your most engaged users keep raising.

Specifically, I'd love to see:

Persistent shot and round history saved to the account (like the on-course shot maps in the main Garmin Golf app)

A post-round review with per-shot metrics and a shot map

An export option (CSV at minimum) so users can do their own analysis

The data already exists in the moment — the request is simply to save it and let us access it. That's a relatively small lift for a large jump in the product's value as a real training tool.

That does seem frustrating, especially when the hardware easily exceeds the minimum requirements. Sometimes developers restrict certain devices in the Play Store because of screen-size optimization, compatibility testing, or certification issues rather than raw performance limitations. Hopefully tablet support is on their roadmap, since many users prefer a larger display for gaming, streaming, and using an Android app with a more comfortable interface.

Yes! Please provide an update to take the Home Tee Hero to the next level. I know quite a few fellow golfers that are holding back from purchasing the R50 because it only allows stroke play. Please add scramble play and other formats. Thanks!!

Been loving the garmin r50. Really looking forward to a scramble option on Home T Hero. There are many times my friends and I play a scamble on the course. Definitely days we have had some bad rounds. We decide to get out of our heads and play a 2 man vrs 2man scramble. Any idea when it will be updated with a scramble option ?

I don’t like to be rude, but didn’t feel like anyone was getting a real response from Garmin on this issue. Previous posts only telling us to submit to an ideas page fell short of the customer service I typically expect from Garmin.

This is exactly what i wanted to hear, that it’s a priority to get fixed. Thank you for the response.

I believe In the on course practice you have a ball pick up tool, utilize a version of that where you can drop along the reverse path of the last shot as it entered the hazard. Just a thought.

Along with that, can we add the helicopter fly-over action that is in practice mode to course play. So when someone walks out of the room during sim play and misses the fly over you can replay it at any time.

Although we don't have a timeline for a fix to this point, this is a high priority issue that we are actively investigating for a viable fix. We thank you for your continued patience and understanding while we work to improve this feature. I have added all of you currently on this thread to the investigation ticket.

Current viable "work-arounds": whether in Weekly Tournament or a general HTH round, the best option is to move your aimpoint to a 'safer' landing zone and take a high lofted club and chip/hit it out that way.

Sidenote: in a general HTH round, you can utilize the mulligan feature to re-hit either the original shot that got the ball in this situation, or the shot after the ball has been dropped in one of these tougher situations.

Was excited to see the new home tee hero support for R10. Been playing the old home tee hero on my tablet and was thinking of upgrading my launch monitor to one with better graphics software. Maybe a Rapsodo or Square Golf. The fact that I can only use my phone (a device with half the performance of my tablet) well it's by far the largest fumble and single handedly has helped me to decide to walk away from garmin golf products in general. The response from garmin in places like this forum as you will see below. Garbage.
