Not a true solution but for anyone familiar with Tasker and whose issue would specifically involve Connect being switched to/opened whenever this would occur (as in my case whenever the display would be on at the time of occurrence), I set up a task which:

Activates when the Connect app opens
Looks for "Audio Prompt in Progress" on the screen
Loads the last app used in response

Of course, it's absolutely ridiculous this issue hasn't been addressed six months later and that we even need to look at potential workarounds.

"Audio prompt in progress" message keeps popping up on my Android phone screen. This occurs while I'm on email, Facebook, etc. It pops up on everything and when I touch screen it either goes away or it takes me directly to a Garmin screen

I'm pretty much exactly the same as you, interms of phone and Garmin. No longer getting notifications when doing activities unless phone is unlocked. Then it opens to Garmin app with audio prompt in progress. If I try manual lap alerts its fine while phone unlocked but otherwise nothing.

Started getting this annoying garbage since the previous Garmin Connect Android update. It pops up on the screen on everything, randomly. I've turn off notifications for the Garmin Connect app. Still getting this. If my trying to take a photo or video, it blocks the photo or video. Extremely annoying.

Fix it, Garmin.

Same. Garmin Enduro 3 and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

It is really pissing me off. If I'm videoing something, the on-screen pop-up freezes the video and ruins the entire video. I've turned off all notifications... it still happens.

I have a screenshot. HTF do you upload an image to this message board?

I started experiencing the same, and can confirm it is very distracting. Audio prompts worked without this on-screen notification before, not sure why this is necessary? Is there a way to turn this off?

(Garmin Fenix 7X + Garmin Connect app (latest version) on a Samsung Galaxy S23)

Edge 830 : 9.75
Samsung S21 5G
- Android 15
- OneUI 7.0

But also, Audio Prompts in general remain inconsistent even with the latest software.

I am not getting full Navigation Alerts from my Garmin Edge 830

I am not getting consistent Audio prompts from my Fenix 7 activities (e.g. "Timer Started" for Walks or Strength not occurring consistently, nor are the "Timer stopped" messages consistent.

Same issue here. I had previously thought the Connect update 5.17.2 had fixed my audio prompt issue. But, that "fix" was only temporary for me. The prompts only worked normally for two days.

Please uninstall the Garmin Messenger app, restart your phone, and reinstall the Garmin Messenger app. If it is still in German after reinstalling, please contact Product Support directly for assistance.

I have an S2 Approach. It is roughly 7 years old. I can only get about 11 holes in and the battery is drained. I have performed all the recommended maintenance suggested. Nothing seems to help. Replacing the battery swwms to be a bit involved and I don't have soldering capability. Any suggestions?

inReach Mini 2 Check-In does not send a message to one specific number

Hi,

I've been having this problem since I've bought inReach Mini 2 in 2023. I haven't used it much in the last year, but now my son and I will and would like to get to the bottom of it.

The issue is that check-in messages never arrive to a specific number. In our family we have 3 numbers: my main one (let's say number A) is the one I've registered the device with. Then there are my son's one (let's say B) and my partner's (number C). No matter what I do the check-in messages never arrive at number A. But they consistently arrive at numbers B and C. I have tried manually entering number A, adding it from the system numbers (Messenger on Android),.. nothing seems to help. The number has been in use for over three decades, there are no blocks by the telecom operator (verified in person at their office), all the numbers are from the same operator,...

The strange thing is that if I send a message (not check-in), but a typed message to the same number goes through. I can also add my email address and it gets delivered.

So out of all the options the only one that is not working and never has is sending a check-in message to my main number. The main issue is that my son will now be starting to ride a motorcycle, but I cannot receive check-in messages from the device. When my son starts riding, I will have him send a check-in message every once in a while. But as of now I cannot receive it.

Has anyone encountered anything similar?
