&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#39;ve been having this problem since I&amp;#39;ve bought inReach Mini 2 in 2023. I haven&amp;#39;t used it much in the last year, but now my son and I will and would like to get to the bottom of it. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The issue is that check-in messages never arrive to a specific number. In our family we have 3 numbers: my main one (let&amp;#39;s say number A) is the one I&amp;#39;ve registered the device with. Then there are my son&amp;#39;s one (let&amp;#39;s say B) and my partner&amp;#39;s (number C). No matter what I do the check-in messages never arrive at number A. But they consistently arrive at numbers B and C. I have tried manually entering number A, adding it from the system numbers (Messenger on Android),.. nothing seems to help. The number has been in use for over three decades, there are no blocks by the telecom operator (verified in person at their office), all the numbers are from the same operator,...&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The strange thing is that if I send a message (not check-in), but a typed message to the same number goes through. I can also add my email address and it gets delivered.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;So out of all the options the only one that is not working and never has is sending a check-in message to my main number. The main issue is that my son will now be starting to ride a motorcycle, but I cannot receive check-in messages from the device. When my son starts riding, I will have him send a check-in message every once in a while. But as of now I cannot receive it.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Has anyone encountered anything similar?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I have a Samsung S23+ running v14&amp;nbsp; with 2 lines in it , I downloaded the Messenger app &amp;amp; have been trying to verify it with no luck , I tried with my UAE number while in the UAE &amp;amp; with my Egyptian number while in Egypt both failed , I even tried my wife&amp;#39;s phone with Egyptian no in Egypt same problem.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I just purchased InReach Messenger Plus &amp;amp; it seems until my mobile app works nothing else will&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I have tried the various steps on this forum but doesn&amp;#39;t seem to help any idea how to fix this or other routes to getting the app working ?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I always have good mobile &amp;amp; Wi-Fi signals while trying&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Recently I used a garmin messenger blue toothed to a pixel 8 running the Android messenger app. This is a first impressions kinda post but there are some fairly serious comments here that really need to be addressed.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;1/ The product is designed to be used without the internet - why can you only enter a weather location using on-line google maps? why doesn&amp;#39;t it switch to an offline google map when there is one available - just like the google maps applictation? in the middle of the tasman sea google maps was working fine using the offline map - garmn was dead in the water. When you are sailing you don&amp;#39;t know your future location/time - you are at the will of the sea - setting up a dozen random locations before you leave is counterintuitive.&lt;br /&gt;*** Messenger App needs to work with google offline maps for weather locations.&lt;br /&gt;and/or allow manual entry of Lat/Lon of a future location for a weather request&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;2/ When you request weather for &amp;quot;My Location&amp;quot; there is no indication of the Lat/Lon of the location requested - then when you have moved to another &amp;quot;My Location&amp;quot; and refresh you can&amp;#39;t tell if the weather is for where you are now or where you were then?&lt;br /&gt;*** My location weather needs to display the Lat/Lon of the location for which the weather is applicable.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;3/ When you are relying on messenger to provide weather data at sea you really need to know what weather model they are using - so this can be matched to the weather model that was used for the original routing.&lt;br /&gt;*** Garmin to publish the weather model source (would be different for different regions)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;4/ The weather forecast provided was highly (dangerously) innaccurate - I would like a refund - that was the worst $1.50 I have ever spent - a forecast of 14kn/18kn gusts with 0kn current was actually 28kn/+42kn sustained gusts and 2kn of current, OK for us on a well prepared yacht, but still a surprise!&lt;br /&gt;*** Garmin needs to check their sources - this was not a reasonable weather prediction - it was so wrong I don&amp;#39;t think the &amp;quot;My Location&amp;quot; was correct.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;other than that the txt functions worked a treat - I&amp;#39;m still glad I have one.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
