Garmin Golf IOS not showing location or distance

I've been a Garmin golf user and I am on my 3rd golf watch. So you can see I am pretty dedicated to Garmin devices and apps. In the older iphone versions of Garmin golf, it used to show the hole view and distances. I could point to the bunkers and hazards and the app would show the distance to clear the hazards. the new version Garmin Golf IOS not showing phone location or distance anymore. When will this feature return. it was very helpful and made the app extremely useful. I have an S44 watch but with aging vision I can't see the small print on the watch so having it on the phone would be helpful for golfers over 45 yrs.

Tee shots location 'Rough' instead of 'Tee Box'

After yesterday's round I noticed that almost all my shots from the tee box were registered with Lie Type 'Rough'. This results in incorrect stats :(

It looks like this was because the tee boxes are very small and do not represent the real size of the tee boxes (as can be see in the birdiebook and on Google Maps). Quite a hassle to change this manually to 'Tee box' or change the location to the tee box, which then automatically changes the Lie Type to 'Tee Box'.

Do other people also experience this? I.e. are there more courses that have tiny teeboxes in the Garmin app that are not in-line with the real size?

A few solutions I could think off besides the courses/Garmin having to re-do the maps.

1. Every first shot of the hole = Tee Shot

2. Make it easier to change the shot types (e.g. overview page of the course with drop-downs)

3. .... I'm pretty sure there are other smart ways to solve this

Garmin - SP Garmin said that it's still being investigated a couple of weeks ago. What's the current status? Why is this so hard to fix? Do you still require more info or... if that's the case please ask, plenty of people that can provide details, but to me it seems nothing is happening... please provide details on when this will be fixed

Just got the Garmin R50. Conducted the map my bag feature but no shot data synced to my bag. I went in to try and edit my bag but none of the edits take, it just reverts back to original 17 clubs with no naming data, practice sessions, or bag mapping data.

A winter tee is also a tee box, might be at a different location, but still a tee box and distance is taken based on GPS location anyway, so doesn't matter if it's from the standard tees, winter tees, or any other temporary tees IMO. The advantage is having the rights stats, e.g. strokes gained. If it's from the tee box it's counted as 'Off The Tee (OTT) and otherwise (if it's > 50 yards out) as 'Approach'. See Stats / Performance Stats and Help/explanations in the Garmin Golf app. Garbage in is garbage out. I just can't understand why this is so hard to fix and why (as I have understood it) Garmin takes the space of the Tee Box as rule to identify the location.

First shot is not always a shot from the standard tee box, in winter times there are winter tees ....

but, what is the advantage, if the starting point of the first shot is marked as 'Tee Box' ???

Garmin - SP , it's been 2 months since Garmin started reviewing this. Still no solution or update other than 'still being reviewed'. How hard can this be? If this is an issue that has large impact or complications, please let the user know, otherwise this would seem like a 5 min. fix (1st shot = tee box)?

Today i noticed this same error. It is on the majority of the holes at least five different courses I’ve played recently. I manually corrected my most recent rounds so I don’t have screenshots to share from those. But hopefully we can get to an update where all first shots are tee box lies.

I'm also not seeing any data in "My Bag" after going through the Bag Mapping. I did all of my clubs except 2. I did all of my clubs except the 4W and 4i, but none show any data.

Something changed in the application and when I just added a club it deleted all other preset clubs allowing me to create my full bag. Once I was finished I exited the program then went back in and it all appears to have saved correctly. However, I just went through a bag mapping session for my SW and none of the distance data synced over to the SW in my bag.

When you are attempting to edit the bag, are you creating new clubs? Or editing existing clubs that were already created?

If you are creating new clubs, what clubs are you trying to create? Are you receiving any error messages when you save the edits?

HI there, after the club has been created the watch will need to be synced with Garmin Connect in order for the change to display. If the issue still persists, can you please upload a photo of the golf bag in the Garmin Golf app as well as the clubs that are available on the watch itself:

For some reason my 52 degree wedge is not shown in my watch as an available club when I am playing. All other clubs are shown.

Yes, I tried all these, multiple times and I have also provided details (on rounds and holes) several times to Garmin Support. I can't understand why 'investigating' needs to take a month, without any signs of progress or solution? Given all the feedback re: issues and no improvements and Garmin becoming distanced to competition in the golf area, Garmin doesn't seem to take golf very seriously. Releasing new products, but lacking big time in the software part. Not blaming the support people, but c'mon Garmin, get your act together!

This is still being reviewed by our internal team. If you have not already tried the following troubleshooting, please do so:

Ensure the device(s) you are using for these rounds are fully up to date
Ensure Golf app is up to date
Is this happening on multiple holes and courses? Or just one in particular?
Master reset of the device(s) being used for Golf activities

We truly thank you for your patience while they continue looking into this.

pour référence arccoss(6.3) et golf Canada (6.7)

J’aimerais qu’on m’explique et ou qu’on corrige la problématique svp 🙏

prendre note que je revisualise tout les coups après chaque ronde et contre vérifie même les longueurs de putts avec arccoss et mes notes de games pour tout mettre en ordre.

jusqu’au tout début de cette saison tout était beau, maintenant l’Index de Garmin ne fait que monter en flèche ronde après ronde

Handicap setting not syncing

I have set my WHS handicap in my S50. Scoring Method -> stroke play, Handicap Scoring -> Index/Slope, Set Handicap->12.5 all as per the user manual. The Garmin Golf app still shows the Garmin calculated index under 'Performance Stats'. Suggestions?

Venu 4 golf app

First time using Venu4 for golf. I've used Vivoactive 4 for golf for 7 years. On the Venu4, I clicked Hazards and it gave me 19091 to back and 19037 to front. That can't be possible. Any suggestions?
