Garmin Venu SQ 2, golf activity didn't saved into history nor syncing with the app, help !!!

Hi guys i found really unique problem this year, since i've been using my venu sq2 for golfing from january 2025 without any problem, but starting in early 2026 few golf activity stop being saved into my phone, i thought it was connection problem or an app problem, i tried to reconnect the bluetooth, reinstall the app, hard reset the watch, sometimes it fixed the problem sometimes not, but it stop to record completely in middle of may, i found some unusuall things that might be a sign or cause of this bug, from the activity didn't recorded to on board history, and the app show red exclamation mark.

I have an Garmin Epix Pro (Gen 2) and CT10 sensors.

I played a round on 13 October using sensors for first time and shot maps didn't appear after the round. I started the round on the watch and finished the round on the watch after putting on the 18th. I didn't notice if the watch restarted or not but after the round I opened the app and the app showed I had a round still going so I ended that round. After ending no shot map information showing

I then checked this forum and noted that it was an issue so did the updates via garmin express as advised and the next two rounds worked on 15th and 16th october with no issues and shot maps appearing.

I have since played another two rounds on 19th and 26th October and at the end of the round have ended the round on the watch and each time after ending the round the watch has turned off and restarted. When I go into the golf activity on the watch after it restarting it is showing as a round still active and then I can end the round again. I then open the golf app and shot data is missing.
I can see that this is a known issue but I have updated via garmin express as advised on another post and ensured that all are the latest versions so at a loss as to why it isn't working again! Please can this be looked into as for a premium product I expect a lot more.

The software version of the Garmin Golf app is 3.8.1.1. My golf watch is a Garmin S50.

Re 1&2, it looks like before the app update to show locations of specific putts, the shot map would just show total putts and would sync that number with the scorecard. Now you have to manually edit the shot map to add/remove putts to get correct # and guess about location(s). The accuracy around the green is off by at least 10-20 feet -- prob same as before and maybe as good as poss with GPS but still makes putting stats by distance useless (or just more apparent how useless they always were). Attaching screenshot Hole 13 -- I set the pin location on my watch based on laser distance from tee box. The shot map does match my watch, but pin was at least 10 feet closer to center. The first putt showing as fringe putt was actually on the green and at most a 18 foot putt, not 18 yards.

Re 3, attaching 9 hole scorecard, 18 hole course rating and my -17 handicap (=+17 index).

Recent Update to App and/or S42 Watch Terrible

There appears to have been an update to either Garmin Golf iOS or my watch software (Garmin S42 with C10 sensors) that is making the stats useless. 3 problems observed:

1. The green location on the watch and the app don't match so it is constantly wrong re whether you are putting from on or off the green.

2. When you enter correct number of putts on the watch and/or the scorecard they sync with each other but the shot maps do not update to the correct # of putts. It seems this would make most of the stats wrong.

3. There has always been a modest discrepancy (1-3 strokes) between my GHIN index and Garmin's estimate (I suspect because Garmin uses men's course ratings regardless of user's gender, as I previously reported), but now it is off by about 25 strokes. I suspect (as I previously reported as a course error) that Garmin is using an 18-hole rating for a 9-hole course I play regularly so it thinks I am playing 30 under par (nice!). My GHIN is 14 but Garmin thinks I am a +10. Interestingly now that it thinks I am better than a pro golfer, my shots gained results vs my new peers (pros!) has also dramatically improved! Nice!! But useless.

aerial map failed to load

i'm having this issue. black screen on historic shot maps. it only happens with one course i play. i am able to see the aerial footage on the website. it only fails on my iphone.

is there a fix? i tried deleting the app many times

Shot mapping has not showed up on my last two rounds. The last date it worked for me was 6/6. Any update on a solution?

He keeping score and syncing my watch to phone after. When I get home and want view my shot map for that round the option doesn’t exist. I can view my scorecard but no shot map. I can view shot maps for previous rounds from 2025 but not this first round I kept score in 2026.

Hi…no shot maps for the last 2 rounds. The watch shut down when I tried to save the rounds. Do we have any solution yet?

Black shot maps since Garmin Golf app v3.6.1

Since the Garmin Golf app update to 3.6.1, several shot maps are black, or appear first and then black again. This is one of the most important features in the app for me. Can you fix this asap?

Add date range filter for course statistics

I really like the course statistics feature in Garmin Golf – it provides valuable insights into performance over time.

However, one important improvement would be the ability to filter statistics by a custom date range.

Right now, statistics are shown based on all recorded rounds, which is not always relevant. For example, it would be much more useful to:

View performance from the last 3 months
Analyze trends over the past 12 months
Focus on more recent rounds to track improvement

This would give a more accurate and actionable view of current performance, rather than mixing old and new data.

Suggested improvement: Add a simple date filter option (e.g. last 3 / 6 / 12 months or custom range) in the statistics section.

This small change would significantly improve usability and make the feature much more relevant for players who actively work on improving their game.

In the meantime, there is a workaround you can try if you're interested enough. I understand it's not ideal, but if you’d like to analyze trends over specific time periods, a workaround is to export individual rounds from Garmin Connect on the web (‘Export Original’) and convert the files to CSV using a third‑party FIT‑to‑CSV tool. You can then filter and analyze the data in Excel.

Hi everyone, quick Garmin S70/CT10 question.

For the last two rounds, Garmin Golf is recording scores, fairways, putts and club stats normally, and all 14 CT10 sensors are assigned and working. During the round it only asked for club confirmation once or twice, otherwise club detection seemed automatic.

However, after the round there is no “View Shot Maps” option. Older rounds still show shot maps correctly.

Has anyone seen this before, or know what setting might have changed? Thanks. I am using iPhone. Last round it recorded shot maps was on 29th May. After that I played on 4th & 9th June in which I cannot see shot maps

I’ve tried it twice on the Venu 4 now. Once is regular mode and in tournament mode.

Finally working as advertised.
