Re adding device to phone app

I am having problems connecting my approach s12 back to the garmin app on my iPhone. I had it before, removed the device from my Bluetooth and tried re adding but when trying to complete setup my phone app sees my garmin watch but then gets an error talking to the server? Tried restarting everything and still nothing. I also setup the app on someone else’s iPhone with mylogin details and the same issue happens. Is there a problem with the server, does it think my device is already registered? I could reset my garmin and delete all data but I don’t want to risk losing my round history? Any ideas?

Sharing scorecard feature not showing stats

First of all, thanks so much for adding badges to golf and the ability to share your scorecard like any other garmin activity.

Love the idea, but when I shared my scorecard it does not show my scores for each hole, only the total. It also did not show my GIR or FIR stats with the round stat gross card either.

Golf App version 3.7.0.1 maps are appalling.

The golf maps now used with the Golf App version 3.7.0.1 are appalling. Far too many trees right hand map and the definition is extremely poor. Fortunately I still have the old version on another device which are near perfect so fingers crossed I can protect it from being updated. Please can Garmin roll back to the original maps used in version 3.5.0.1b

I purchase an Epix Gen2 pro 4mths ago to use for Golf. My local golf course, Ballina golf club NSW has outdated mapping for many of its holes.

I have sent through 3 forms notifying of the outdated course info with no updates as yet.

Any info on when this course will be updated would be appreciated.

Feature request: to easily delete a driving range shot, instead of having to click a number of times (click on overview, edit shots, scroll to last shot (would already be easier if shorting is last > first), click on shot, delete, save). Having a delete option (with confirmation yes/no) would be 2 clicks and a lot easier/faster.

And also garmin r50 live integration : could see what you are curently doing. Much easier if you are a pro and want more data without moving your golfer from the r50 screen

Black shot maps since Garmin Golf app v3.6.1

Since the Garmin Golf app update to 3.6.1, several shot maps are black, or appear first and then black again. This is one of the most important features in the app for me. Can you fix this asap?

Dispersion dots all the same color now

Different clubs used to have different color dispersion dots. Now they’re all the same color? Looking back at past practice sessions, the app has changed those to all 1 color as well. Please make different clubs different color dots again 😞

Garmin Golf not calculating up and down properly

After a round of golf with an up and down I realised the golf app wasn’t capturing it properly.

As you can see, on hole 12 I missed the green (X on the GIR row), but made par and had only one putt.

However, the overview of the round doesn’t show any up and downs.

I have spend a lot of money on garmin hardware for golf but unfortunately have to admit that on th software development sode youbhave let me down. Garmin has not made significant improvements. If i look at the competitors I think we are way behind and in terms of capital outlay some of my fellow golfers has spend not even half of what I have spend.

Garmin Golf shot list not allowing change order

When checking shot list in shot maps, you can’t scroll shot up and down anymore. When you try to move one roll, it will drop back to original position.

It happened since I changed my phone to iPhone 17 pro max and the very first update. It’s still not working after few updates.

All holes at my club are PAR 1024 according to Garmin.

When playing a round of golf at my club (Amsterdam Old Course, in the Netherlands, Amsterdam), all holes show as a PAR 1024. I assume this is a bug. Also in the app the scores also don’t show correctly (every hole looks like PAR 0 and making PAR leads to an unregistered score). I’m using a Garmin venu 2. Other courses work fine and correctly show the actual PAR score of the holes.

There is a clear functional gap in the Garmin Golf ecosystem that places it well behind competitors like Arccos or phone only apps like 18Birdies: the lack of a true "Second Screen" experience and live data management during a round.

Currently, the data flow between a compatible Garmin watch and the Garmin Golf app appears to be entirely one-directional and very limited until the round is completed. While the watch hardware is adequate at capturing shot locations, the phone app remains functionally dormant during play.

This limitation is most glaring in two areas:

Live Data Visualization Competitors like Arccos have established a standard where the phone serves as a rich, live dashboard. Users can glance at their phone to see their exact real-time position, shot-by-shot tracking, and statistical data as the round progresses. For Garmin users, the powerful computer in our pocket sits idle while we are forced to view complex data on a small watch face.
Real-Time Shot Editing Most importantly, we need the ability to add, move, or edit shots on the phone app during the round. Correcting a missed AutoShot or adjusting a club selection on a watch interface is cumbersome and disrupts the flow of play. The phone’s interface—with its larger touchscreen and map visibility—is the superior tool for these adjustments.

By restricting shot editing to the post-round analysis phase, Garmin ensures that users are less likely to correct their data, leading to inaccurate stats and a poorer user experience.

Several duplication of clubs in 'My Bag'.

I have multiple duplication of clubs in the App making it extremely difficult to allocate a club selection in the shot maps. I reset and deleted all historical data, as well as, reinstalled the App - the issue persists.

Feature Request: Export for Golf Rounds and shot details (vs. Full Data Management Dump)

Why there is currently no simple method to export golf round and shot details from Garmin Connect or the Garmin Golf App?

While the Garmin Golf ecosystem captures a significant amount of on course data, the native analysis tools have remained stagnant.

Because the native tools are lacking, users need to export their own data to analyze it elsewhere. Currently, the only method to obtain this data is to request a full account data dump via the Data Management page. This process is inefficient and hostile to the user experience, we have to wait up to 48 hours for the link, then it's a massive zip file of all Garmin account history, not just golf.

I am aware that Garmin has recently opened the "Garmin Golf Premium API" for partners like Clippd. This proves that the ability to organize and export this data exists structurally.

Is the lack of user-accessible export a technical oversight, or is it a policy decision intended to protect data partnerships? When customers pay premium prices for hardware, it's a reasonable expectation that we retain easy access to the data those devices collect without requiring an external subscription or a full GDPR-style data request.

We need a simple "Export round data" button on a scorecard level.

Can you improve sensitivity of the Approach S70 for CT1 sensors

Is there a way to increase the sensitivity on the Approach S70 to better read the CT1 sensors? The S70 continues to struggle reading the club when tapping the screen. I'm already bad at golf, but I hate slowing everyone else down while I struggle to record the club before each swing. Thank you for any advice or help.

Garmin Data to Shot Pattern App - Converter Tool

I am not sure if this is allowed here, so please forgive me if references to external tools are not permitted and delete this thread in that case.

I built a small command line tool that maps Garmin Driving Range data from an R10 or R50 into a format the ShotPattern app can read. I use that app for course strategy because Garmin does not offer this feature, and I missed that option in my practice flow.

The tool helps you take your exported Garmin range sessions and prepare them for import. It saves you from manual edits and handles the club mapping for you. It is currently more suited for people with some technical experience, but if there is interest, I can look into turning it into a simple app that is easier to use.

Garmin golf app not showing shots and not ending round on watch properly Marq 2

I see others with similar issues, I end my round of golf all appears to be ok score card is in app but not shot maps. Then when I next play or if I go back into golf on the watch it says a round is still in progress and I have to resume then end and save. Still no shot maps on the app!

it’s the only reason I have the Garmin stuff very frustrating to not have that data. I use the ct10 club sensors and all the shots appear on my watch as I walk around .

i have connected to Garmin express it did loads of updates but still doesn’t work properly.

when will this be fixed?

Display Stableford Points on the Activity screen

Within the Activity displaying the score of a specific round the screen displays the Total Strokes and Shots over Par. In addition the screen Alsop displays the number of strokes based on SLOPE and Handicap their number of strokes given. Surely, based in this it must be easily possible to calculate and display the Stableford points? It tracks the Handicap in the Stats/Performance Tab. So all data are there, all that needs is the ability to calculate and display the points on the Activity screen against each round along with strokes taken vs Par and Stableford points, and the same on the details of the individual scorecard. Would others like to see this?
