Venu 3, Golf App Autoshot not working

Question

I can&rsquo;t remember if there was a recent software update on my Venu 3 in the past week but I can&rsquo;t get the auto shot to function using the Garmin Golf, it just stopped working literally the last couple days, anyone else having this issue or know a fix?

Current update as of July 9th, 2025: 
 Garmin is currently investigating to figure out what caused this issue so that we can get it resolved more permanently. We apologize for any inconveniences that have resulted from this issue and once we have a fix released, I will update this post and users will be emailed at that time. 
 We have had some success in the meantime getting users to be able to work around the issue with the steps below. 
 
 Start a round of golf while at the course, on hole 1. 
 As soon as the hole is displaying on the watch, press the top left button, and select power off. 
 Press the top left button again to power the watch back on. After a few moments, the watch will prompt the option to resume, save, or discard the round in-progress. 
 Select resume the round in progress and AutoShot should work as expected throughout the round. 
 
 We recognize the above steps are not ideal, and don't consider that to be an acceptable fix, but a temporary work around so that you can record your data until we're able to get a fix in place.
