Ok, seems I already don't get new badges after each new training after 10th training (for11th, 12th, 13th etc), so issue with getting too many new badges looks resolved.

But what about historical badges that I got before - do we plan to clean extra badges?

For example when I passed 25 trainings, - I should have only 2 badges, not 7.

I faced an issue with "Garmin Coach Graduate" badge:

According to conditions it should be given after each 10 trainings (on 10th, 20th, 30th, ...), but after when I passed 10 trainings I receiving new copy of this badge after each new training (on 10th, 11th, 12th, ...).

So it looks confusing.

After reviewing this with our internal team, the Committed Athlete badge is only earned once per Garmin Coach training plan. Once the badge has been awarded for a specific Coach plan any additional workouts completed with the same plan will not contribute to earning the badge again. You will need to start a new eligible Coach plan to earn this badge again. **

I have a problem.

When I create a collection in the Garmin Explore web app and add some waypoints and tracks to it, I cannot see that collection at all in the Garmin Explore Android app.

When I create a collection in the Garmin Explore Android app, it does not appear in the web app either.

I have tried reloading, signing out and back in, and syncing, but there is no change.

How can I sync web and android app?

Hey Garmin Team.

we have new issue with garmin connect app version 5.27 : the counter for multi-badges is gone, only the small grey bar is visible but not the number of already completed vs total number (days/items etc).

Can you please test your SW updates before rollout, thank you!

yes indeed it is...

I recently finished from my 2nd coach plan 10 trainings and got the badge - so thats good.

But by having my 11th training finished yesterday, it starts not re-counting. Or is the intention that the badge is given just once per coach plan?

the very first badge (garmin coach graduade /finisher) I did not get at all but having from my 1st plan 15 completed trainings.(see pic)

my clock is forerunner165 with latest sw 28.05. garmin connect app I updated to version 5.27 today, no change.

I remember that one needs to accept/activate "cloud memory" in explore android. .. On my phone i can find that in Profile (profile pic in the upper left / Profile / Data / Memory / (de)activate cloud memory ) I don't have my phone set to english, so i only roughly translated, hope you find it 🙂

Currently I already don't get new Garmin Coach badge after each new training, so it's look as a progress already, thanks.

But what about existing 7 badges - I still see all of them in the profile (in mobile & web version).

Could not see new version of Garmin app in Store - at this moment 5.26.1 is looks like the latest version.

Hi,

I am experiencing two issues with Garmin Explore when importing a GPX track file.

Issue 1: Incorrect track distance

When I import a GPX file containing a <trk> element, the distance displayed for the track is significantly wrong. The track should be approximately 126 km, but Garmin Explore shows ~310 km as length.

Notably, the elevation profile chart for the same track correctly shows the x-axis ending at ~126 km, which matches the expected distance. This suggests the app is calculating distance differently in the track summary vs. the elevation chart.

Additional observations:

The GPX file has been validated — coordinates are correct (WGS 84, lon/lat order) and the track consists of a single `<trkseg>` with no gaps.
When using "Copy as Course" on the imported track, the resulting course correctly shows ~126 km, but the course only retains two points (start and end), losing all intermediate shape points.
Adding `<ele>` elevation tags to the GPX track points has no effect on the elevation profile — the app appears to ignore them and use its own terrain data instead.

Issue 2: Track not visible in Garmin Explore desktop

The same GPX track file does not render in the Garmin Explore desktop application, while it does appear correctly in the Garmin Explore mobile app and on the Garmin map service (explore.garmin.com). No error message is shown — the track simply does not appear.

Troubleshooting already attempted

Downsampled the track: from ~5900 points to ~590 points (keeping every 10th point) — no change in behaviour for either issue.
Added `<ele>` elevation tags: to every track point with plausible values — the elevation profile was unchanged, confirming the app ignores GPX elevation data entirely.
Used "Copy as Course" as a workaround — this gives the correct distance (126 km) but discards all intermediate points, making it useless for navigation.

GPX version: 1.1
Created with: GDAL 3.12.0
Track structure: single `<trk>` with single `<trkseg>` with ~5900 `<trkpt>` elements
Coordinate system: WGS 84

Could you please clarify the following:

How Garmin Explore calculates track distance for imported GPX files?
Why the distance shown in the track summary differs from the elevation chart distance?
Why "Copy as Course" discards all intermediate track points?
What the rendering requirements are for the desktop application?

Reviewing this it looks like it could be due to the GPX track originating outside of Garmin, importing it can cause various metrics to be off. Please review the following article: Importing GPX Files in the Garmin Explore App

I finished a garmin run coach in June with 26x completed trainings, did not receive any badges.

By starting a new coach program in July it started counting my finished trainings correctly up to 5/10.

But today I see status "completed" with 26 out of 10trainings (but no badge anyway...).

So it seems something goes wrong here.

Also on my Forerunner its says work 4, in mobile APP it says work3, so this is not syncronized correctly.

I've found the same problem in a GPX track that I have uploaded. Explore web app shows the length accurately. ChatGPT says there are no problems with file structure. A bug in the Explore app?

When will syncing with Forerunner watches happen (I have the Forerunner 170)

I know this is not strictly a support question that can be answered here but I'm wanting to raise awareness of this as it is a useful feature for transferring courses from maps to my watch. When hiking (or even running and cycling) it is also useful to be able to see the trail as it is walked.

I know that there are alternatives and workarounds but wonder if others feel this is important.

Of course this would apply to the phone app just as much as the web.
