Data sync with Garmin Dive app (android)

I have a Garmin Descent MK2i and have been using it for sometime now.

There are instances where the dive computer logs the dive, but doesn't sync it with the Garmin Dive app.

Has anyone faced the issue before? What can I do to solve it?

Missing dive on Garmin dive app logbook

I accidentally deleted a dive that was recorded in my logbook on Garmin Dive. On my MK3i, this dive is still saved. I tried refreshing the synchronization between my MK3i and Garmin Dive, but the missing dive was not transferred. How can I “force” this transfer from my MK3i? Thank you for your help.

Totals in Garmin Dive

When i first open my garmin dive app and got to the "You" page, the app does not show the total dives or the cumulative dive time. If i click the edit option to edit my profile, change something and save, then the totals are shown.

If i pull to refresh the you page the totals do not show either. Only by editing the profile can i make the app display them.

I tried logging out, clearing the app cache and logging back in and the problem is still there.

Is there a way to fix this?

Garmin Connect -> Garmin Diving Sync issue

Hi there,

I uploaded a few dives via Garnin Connect Web and edited them on the website as needed (e.g. Change the name of the dive, add coordinates etc).

When I check Garmin connect on the phone I can see all the dives listed under activities including the names given to each dive.

Garmin Dive however onoy takes this data partially. While I can see all dives listed, many are missing the name I gave the activity (show default: Dive 23 etc,) and are missing other data such the coordinates entered.

Further, for those with missing data, when I select the dive under activities on the phone it will try and open the dive in Garmin Dive but throws an error message that something went wrong. I assume this is the case due to the data missmatch between the 2.

Is there a way to force Garmin Dive to fully resync all dives from connect?

Hi,

Looking at the Final Report and I don't understand why you suggest a 8x25 training, but on the final report you show 16 times session.

You probably mean 8 dives and 8 surface breath?

Dives are main training sessions.

Surface breathing is just recovery time...

Merge/combine Dives in Garmin Dive App

Can Garmin add a feature to the Garmin Dive app to allow us to merge 2 dives together? Yes, we can adjust the dive interval on the dive computer to not automatically trigger a new dive, but this doesn't help after the fact.

Como cambiar mi alerta de tiempo en apnea según la profundidad ??? Por ejemplo si he bajado a 10 M en 12 segundos y mi alerta de tiempo de apnea es 62 segundos que me avise a los 50 segundos, que son los restantes , si bajo en 15 segundos que me avise a los 47 segundos y así sucesivamente.

Logging Dives from both Decent Mk3i and X50i

In Garmin Dive setup I set a starting dive number of 1046. The logs have some dives from the Mk3i and some dives from the X50i counting from 1046 but others counting from 1. The Mk3i is set as primary.

If I delete all logs:

Can I set the starting dive number to 1046, again?

How can I tell the Mk3i to reload all it's dives again? In hopes it starts with 1047.

It seems like a software enhancement is needed to be able to separate dive logs by computer model before I should try to upload dives from the X50i again.

How does the Log my Certifications work?

Anyone know the intent behind the "Log Your Certifications" when editing a dive?

Is it meant to be logging the certification used for the dive?

Is it meant to be marking the dive that is used for certification?

Also, when looking at "Diver Certifications", there is a count of "Dives Since Certification", but this number seems to be somewhat inaccurate.

When clicking on "Dives" (which I associate with the number of dives since certification), it only shows the dives where I've actively 'logged your certification' (a number not matching the dives since certification).

If I log a certification on a dive, it then increments the Dives Since Certification number - so that if I mark all my dives, I get a number that far exceeds my actual dive count.

As an example, for my Open Water certification, I would expect the dives since certification to equal my dive count minus the four dives done for certification. But it's far lower. If I log the Open Water certification on all my dives, I get a number that far exceeds my total dive count.

What's going on?

Hi all,

I am using Fenix 8 with HRM Pro plus. On Fenix 8 I have turned off wrist sensor (because of dry suit). When i start diving activity I get notification, that ext. sensor was connected. After dive I get notification, that data are collected. So everything looks good, but when I go to Garmin Dive app there is nonsense in heart rate graph, BUT when I check it on website the graph looks good. Also when I export .fit file the heart rate data are not correct.

Can someone please check?

Pool Apnea does not show dive distances

I love the new Pool Apnea mode. It is great that it now properly detects DYN dives in pools.
Also great that one can after each dive provide the dive distance!
However, that is not recognized in the Garmin Dive app. See screen shot.
Can you pls fix that?

GPX File Sharing is not Supported

When I try to load a GPX file from my Android phone to my Drivesmart 65 Traffic, I get an error message stating:

GPX File Sharting is not Supported

None of your paired devices support GPX file sharing.

Searching Help and Google states this functionality is supported for Android devices with Drivesmart 65 Traffic.

Any guidance?

Photos added with dive app don't show in web

I've added a couple of photo's to my dive log in the dive app. Unfortunately these don't appear in the web browser.
If I add photo's via the web, they show up in both the web and the app.
All other data gets synced instantly and in both directions.

Just to be clear: the images don't show up at all. It says: "Click to add photos to your activity."

Option to select language

Hi, I have a different system language which has its own script for the numbers. Unfortunately the translation is not applied to all the fields, which is fine cause Garmin Dive doesn't support the said translation. But now I get a mixed of latin numbers and system language ones. Could we get an option in the settings to override the language, so that I can make it use English everywhere in the app? That would make the numbers and certain text consistent across the app.

How can I show my puls rate (recorded with HRM Pro) next to my air consumption?

I'm using the HRM Pro to record my heart rate during the dive. Back on the surface I upload it to the current dive. So very basic heart rate statistics are shown - but I want to see the heat rate over time and next to my air consumption and depth.

How can I achieve that?

Garmin dive app not opening

I have a descent MK2S, it was perfectly fine, and so the app did until 1 week ago, but now, Garmin Dive app is not opening, although it seems that my dives have been saved in Connect, but I cannot open Garmin Dive!

Not only for loging dives... It would be a great option to have a breathing training section in the app.
