Garmin Connect Web - Clearing Badge Earned Notifications

Currently unable to delete the notifications for 'Earned Badges' in the web instance of Garmin connect. Clicking on the 'x' navigates to the badge info, rather than deleting the notification. All other notification types seem to be deleting correctly.

New feature that's been introduced with the last non-tested update about 3-4 weeks ago. See other posts on this. Doesn't seem to be important enough for Garmin to fix.

I tested this myself and couldn’t reproduce the issue. I noticed you’ve tried Chrome and Edge, but it might be worth giving incognito mode a shot to rule out any browser-related problems.

If still no luck, I recommend reaching out to Product Support through their website at https://support.garmin.com.

Hello,
Since a couple of weeks (or even longer) I cannot edit my run activities to change the interval types.
After clicking on edit intervals, I only get an empty/white screen (non 404 error or anything like this).
I tried on Chrome and Edge.
Is anyone also facing this problem?

Issue When Deleting a Favorited Activity

Issue

Activities that were added to Favorites remain visible in the activity list on the PC even after they have been deleted.

Actual Result

The deleted activity is still displayed in the activity list on the PC.
Clicking or attempting to delete the activity displays the error message: "Unable to load the activity."
The deleted activity does not appear in the mobile app.

Expected Result

Deleted activities should be removed from the activity list on both the PC and mobile app immediately and should not be accessible.

Where exactly are you deleting the activity? When I delete a favorited activity in Garmin Connect, regardless whether on the phone app, or on web, the activity disappears from the other one without any problems. If you are deleting it on the watch, then that does not have any impact on the activities in Garmin Connect. And it is not supposed to.

The CSV file will only export what is visible on the screen, so you have to scroll far enough to have the old activities dynamically loaded. Or, if you want to avoid the endless scrolling, you can use the date search filter, displaying only the old activities:

Aktivitäten vor 2020 sind im Web-Kalender und in der App sichtbar, fehlen aber in 'Alle Aktivitäten' und im CSV-Export. Wie erhalte ich meine csv Datei mit Daten vor 2020?

This has previously been discussed here (e.g. [mention:65c6e4f182ec4dc6a27a036b7f7eab39:46448885d0e64133bbfbf0cd7b0fd6f7] ), but with no solution that I saw. I thought I'd share what I did in case it helps someone else:

If you realize early enough and there is still a timezone left in the world that is on the previous day (the day you missed your steps on). Force your phone into that timezone via manual set (I used Honolulu), set your watch's time sync setting to "Phone" (this still showed the wrong time for me, so I'm not sure it's really needed, I also tried to manually adjust the time on my watch to match the time in the timezone). Leave your phone open on your glance view and start walking. It took what felt like an eternity - but probably was just a few min - before my previous day counter started going up, but it eventually worked and I could save my walking goal streak.

As side note so this doesn't catch anyone off-guard: By doing this you're resetting your current day step count once you're done saving your previous day's streak and set your time back to the correct one your step count will be 0. But since you'll have to do this early-ish in the day, it's likely not an issue and saving you step steak is probably more important to you anyway.

Unrequested security passcodes

In the past twelve hours, I have received two unrequested security passcode emails. After the first, I reset my password, although I think it's unlikely that my old password had been compromised at my end. The second was received a few hours later.

Anyone else getting this? Blooper on Garmin's part, or a breach somewhere down the line?

I have similar problem - the only way out is to save your route frequently, as when it crashes, you may easily lose everything. Garmin pls fix that.

This is a problem I first reported a couple of weeks ago.

At that time, when trying to create a new course using the MOST DIRECT routing option, the map grayed out and everything froze when starting to plot a course..

On May 30 I received an email from Product Support assuring me that the issue had been resolved.

Sadly, that was not the case.

Today, i can start the course creation process, and it allows me to create 6 or 7 points, and then it freezes again. I sign out, sign back in and try it again; same result.

I've used Garmin Connect Web since 2020 and have NEVER had this issue before. Please go back to the previous routing options - "follow roads" was a far better option. It would be a pity to lose potential customers over flawed software.

Feature Request: Allow video animations in custom workouts

Hi everyone,

I really love the pre-made Garmin workouts that include exercise animations—they are great for keeping proper form. However, like many of you, I prefer creating my own custom strength routines in Garmin Connect.

Right now, when we build a custom workout, we lose those helpful animations on the watch. It would be an amazing upgrade if Garmin allowed us to view the video form guide directly on the wrist during our own custom sessions.

This feature would make the custom workout builder infinitely more useful.

I would love this too! I heard about the animations but have never seen them. I have my own split I built and use with Garmin. Use it almost every day along side the Garmin run coach. Would love to be able to "link" or add animations to each of these lifts provided they are available.

And now I just hit the case where the Save button is grayed out. Looks like you hit Save, and then the course is actually saved, but something goes wrong and your browser doesn't navigate to showing the course and instead stays in the edit mode, but won't let you save because you already did.

These noifications cannot be deleted from GC Web even clicking on the small (X): it will open badges page but won't remove the notification. I got a whole list of those in the 2 weeks. We need back the old working design of these!

And it is not in sync with the app's notification list: when I delete a notification, it should be removed from everywhere,

Bug: Editing a saved course resets custom manual PacePro splits

Less than 48 hours from my trail race, I was horrified to find out that my custom/manual PacePro plan has been reset!

I found the issue is because I modified the course attached to the PP plan. The modification was simply adding course points. This is not supposed to happen, right? Even modifying the course's route should not change the PP (the PP will become inaccurate in a way, which is expected).

I needed to remove many weight goals. It seemed that GC remembered all weight goals I've ever set. And all needed to be deleted before the graphs returned to their normal format.

Not a question, but since Garmin does not seem to have an answer,

Remove your goal weight, in the dashboard and in your phone app.

I think they try scale the Y axis with that number included.

Body Fat and BMI scaling incorrect on Garmin Connect Web

The scaling on both the Body Fat and BMI are completely wrong. I think the intention was to be able to overlay with the weight, but that doesn't make any sense to scale it like this to weight values. The BMI on my graph is scaled from 10 to 162 as well. BMI, Body Fat, and Weight are all very different numerically and can be shown as a relationship, but not like this.

Technically, the max for any percentage should be 100%. This used to work fine and scale appropriately.

Additionally, I would like to request once again, a longer period to view than 1 year for all weight metrics. If you are on a long term fitness journey, 1 year may not show your true progress. At least a 5 year option would be great, but ideally an "all" option would be best. Would be fantastic to see where I started and where I am now!

I have the same issue. Honestly, this overlay isn't bringing real value to the table.
I would expect the graph to still change dynamically when the overlay is not active.
I'm considering to leave Garmin and Tacx afer 15 years. It's a sad situation...

Website doesn't display new Golf Club Types on shot Maps

The Garmin Golf App recently added several new golf club types. I added the "Approach Wedge" to my golf bag on the app and have properly connected my Fenix Watch to the CT10 sensor on that club. When I review the shot maps on the Garmin website, that club is showing up as "unknown". It is, however, properly displayed on the golf app itself.

I also reported an issue with the club not showing up as a selection on the R50, and that issues was confirmed by the R50 team.

It looks like the new club type only appear on the Garmin golf app, and haven't made it to the rest of the Garmin ecosystem.
