Hello,

I have been experiencing two related regressions on Garmin Connect Web that started approximately 1–2 months ago (around May–June 2026). I made no changes to my data fields or my setup during this period.

Issue 1 — Installed IQ data fields no longer listed on the activity page

On the activity detail page in Garmin Connect Web, there is normally a sidebar section that shows which Connect IQ data fields were active during the workout (below the watch icon, above equipment). This section has stopped appearing entirely for my activities. The same activities viewed in the Garmin Connect mobile app correctly show the installed data fields.

Issue 2 — FIT contribution charts not rendering on Garmin Connect Web

I have 2–3 data fields that write custom metrics to the FIT file using FitContributor (MESG_TYPE_RECORD, DATA_TYPE_FLOAT). For over a year these charts displayed correctly on both the web and mobile. Since approximately the same time period, the charts no longer appear at all on Garmin Connect Web. The FIT file itself is correct the data is present and readable using other tools. The charts also continue to display correctly on Garmin Connect Mobile (Android/iOS).

Two days ago I created an activity with an heart rates strap linked to the IQ data field "Heart Rate: OHR v strap difference".

Today, the 27th of August, I'm looking this activity in GC web, the graphics are displayed again.

These graphics in an old activity (17th of July) which should have displayed too are also display today.

The regression is corrected.

I made 2 Epics already. It is ok I guess. Just something different. It doesn't show up on the News Feed as one "item" so I don't really see the point or benefit.

Like yesterday, I went to a track workout run group and there was running warmup, stretches, drills, cooldown, and some more stretched. I recorded them as separate activities. I made it into one Epic... The Epic is fine and they grouped together but only if I go and look at my Epics. On my News Feed the list only has the individual activities.

The ability to group activities together is now available in Connect. You don't need a Fenix 9 to use it. Function appears under the Activities menu option.

Can we make one small change to Connect Web?

Can we make that a back button vice hide the tool bar?? It would be easier to navigate the website, especially when a couple level deep in data within the website.

Bonjour à Toutes et tous,

Je rencontre un probleme très très frustrant dans Garmin Connect.

Je fais principalement du cyclisme, j'ai eu un garmin Edge 1000, qui était régulierment synchronisé à Garmin connect, avec 1 seul compte, et toujours le meme.

j'ai revendu le 1000 en 2024, pour passer au 1040.

je ne retrouve que mes activité depuis le 04/08/2024, date à laquelle j'ai installé le 1040 - mais tout l'historique précédent n'est plus visible...

J'ai contacté le support qui n'a pas de solutions.

J'ai fait des recherches sur les IA, mais sans succes.

Je ne suis pas un athlete, mais j'aimerais bien retoruvé, mes traces, mes stats...ca me serait très utile.

Auriez vous une solution?

That looks like you created a new Garmin Connect account when you purchased the new device. Simply open Garmin Connect Web in an alternative browser (where you are not logged into your current account automatically), and log into the old account. It holds all your old data. You can then use one browser for your current account, and the other one for the old data. You could also export activities (and even some metrics) from the old account and import them to the new one, but it is a question whether it is worth of the hassle and time.

If you do not remember the original login credentials, search your email archive for emails from Garmin, dating before Aug 2024, and see which email address they were sent to. Use then the old email for recovering the password belonging to it.

I can see a new entry after every run, currently my VO2 Max is 42. My HFV doesn't change much, my sleep is always between 75 and 100. So I don't really know why it doesn't work.

I’ve been using Garmin and the running coach feature for about three months now. My goal is a 10-mile race in September. For context, I’ve already run several 10Ks (each in under an hour) and two half-marathons (2h 11m) this year, though Garmin doesn't have that data. I have about four weeks left in my current training plan before the race. So far, Garmin has scheduled only two long runs, and they were a maximum of 10 km long. The plan aims for a finish time based on a 5:55 pace, yet neither the distances I’ve run nor my pace during tempo runs are trending in that direction so far. I've already switched days, no difference. Is this normal?

is barebone compared to the same activity on the mobile app.

Mobile app has respiration rate and training effect charts. Web doesnt.

This should be resolved with the 5.28 update to Connect Web. If you are still seeing this occur, please make sure to clear your cache, log out and back into Connect Web and create a new thread with a picture of what is still happening, the browser you are using and if you are on a Mac or PC.

It appears that this issue has now been resolved, likely coinciding with the release of the Fenix 9, the addition of rucking features, and updates to Garmin Connect Web.

The calorie burn chart for the activity on Garmin Connect has a bug (missing label translation). Instead of displaying the correct names, the platform shows internal system code strings:

non_pack_calories_chart_label (Gray)
pack_calories_chart_label (Red)

Hi!
Yes, the issue is only in Multisport, when editing and trying to pick the individual activity (as in the recording)

I can edit a standalone Strenght activity without any issues.

I'm getting this issue on Linux/Fedora with Chromium and Firefox, but the user above (Kvik Torr) claims to be using Windows and having the same issue in any web browser.

Edit Workout not working

Can't edit multisport activities in the web anymore:

1) Go to the multisport activity

2) Click on Strenght Activity

3) Click edit to change the excercises done.

4) The web will loop back to the Multisport activity.

It started aprox. 2 weeks ago. I tried with different web browsers but it's still the same.

As well as what is the type of computer (windows/mac) and the browser that is being used with Connect web?

This should be resolved with an updated to 5.28. Please make sure you are on the latest update for Connect web. If you are experiencing this still, please create a new forum thread with pictures of what is still occurring and we can continue to troubleshoot.

Hello,
Since a couple of weeks (or even longer) I cannot edit my run activities to change the interval types.
After clicking on edit intervals, I only get an empty/white screen (non 404 error or anything like this).
I tried on Chrome and Edge.
Is anyone also facing this problem?

Typically, you can change this to Hiking in Garmin Connect. However, if no GPS activity was recorded, then this might not work as desired.

Also, there are file size limitions, but 2 MB should be fine - File Size Limitation of Manual Uploads to Garmin Connect

Alternatively, you can zip and attach your activity to this thread so we can see what can be done to change the activity type and/or check for file corruption.

Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
Or upload the fit file to a reputable file sharing service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, make the file public, then paste a link to the file in your post.

Next time, I'd record the activities separately, not in one go. Then use the new Epic feature to group them together.

Hiking activity failed to import, manual import of .fit file imported as Strength with no GPS

I just got back from a 4 day backpacking trip, which I tracked as Hiking. It showed the Hiking info the whole time, and I kept the activity running with pauses over the full trip. When I synced my watch with my phone, the activity didn't import, and when I manually uploaded the activity to the connect website, it imported as "Strength". I'm pretty bummed since Strength doesn't include GPS or mileage. Is there any way to retrieve my activity as Hiking, or change it after the fact? My one thought is that maybe the file is too big to properly sync over bluetooth, it's 2MB.

Feature request: Allow linking a completed activity to a scheduled workout in Garmin Connect

I’d like to suggest a feature that would be very useful for athletes using Garmin alongside platforms such as Zwift or TrainerRoad.

My typical indoor setup is:

Zwift runs the structured workout and controls the smart trainer.
My Edge 1050 records the activity separately using heart rate, power and cadence.
I keep the Edge recording because I want Garmin’s physiological metrics such as Training Effect, Training Load, Recovery Time, Training Status, etc.

The problem is that the Garmin workout scheduled for that day and the activity recorded by the Edge remain two separate items in Garmin Connect.

For example, Garmin Connect shows:

Scheduled workout: Sprints 8 × 10 sec
Recorded activity: 2:03:58 / 64.7 km / 213 W

They clearly correspond to the same training session, but there is currently no way to tell Garmin Connect:

“This activity completed this scheduled workout.”

It would be great to have an option in a completed activity such as:

Link to scheduled workout / Associate with workout

Garmin Connect could simply display the workouts scheduled for that day and let the user select the corresponding one.

This would avoid having to start the structured workout simultaneously on both Zwift and the Edge, which is unnecessary and can also create potential conflicts when a smart trainer is involved.

The Edge would remain the Garmin recording device for physiological metrics, while the third-party platform could remain responsible for controlling the workout.

I believe this would make Garmin Connect much more flexible for athletes using Garmin devices together with Zwift, TrainerRoad and other training platforms.
