Hi all, I posted this topic some time ago, I have just a question:

We have max HR and LTHR values for basic and specific activities.

But If I always select "RUN" as specific activity (no bike, no swim), why I do not get same LTHR for basic and specific while I get same max HR ?

Actually it's max HR = 185 for both basic and specific but basic LTHR = 160 and specific LTHR = 169.

When creating a cycling route,

I select "Custom" and then try to generate a route based on "Popular Routes." This used to work fine, but due to a recent change, selecting this option now triggers an error stating that a "round-trip route" cannot be used, which prevents me from creating the route at all. It’s extremely frustrating. The same issue occurs even if I choose a different option. Is there a solution? I am using Chrome on a Mac.

Hi,

i tried the new Personal API to get connect Data. But i got a problem with the Moods, Sympthoms and other menstrual cycle data.

I executed a GET Request to /periodichealth-service/menstrualcycle/dayview/{calendarDate}.

The Response included the "daySummary" and "dayLog" schema, but only the "daySummary" is filled with data. What is missing is the data of the "dayLog" Schema. I tried different days on which different moods or sympthomes are logged, but the result is always "null".

Export Health Data disabled for all dates

In Garmin Connect Web, the Export Health Data page loads correctly and allows me to select a date, but the Export button remains disabled for every date.

I have reproduced the issue on multiple devices and in multiple web browsers. Logging out and back in does not resolve it. The issue started on November 3, 2026.

This concerns daily wellness FIT files containing steps, sleep, stress and HRV data, not activity GPX/TCX export. Please confirm whether the wellness FIT download service has been disabled or whether this is a known Garmin Connect Web incident.

Garmin Instinct 3 - Solar - Error 'Garmin Golf app connection is required when -Golf app is already connected!

each time I try to use this watch on the golf course, there is a 50/50 chance I get the error message that Garmin Golf app connection is required. I have done all of the suggested fixes, turn off both devices, reestablish the connection, on & on, i still get the same error. I have had this watch for 7 months. Any other suggestion to fix this? Or do I need to go to the warranty option?

Daylight Savings Time change on November 1st, 2026 - Garmin Vívoactive 4

For the Daylight Savings Time change on November 1st, 2026 (EDT to EST), the time changed at 1AM back to midnight, and all of my steps from October 31st were removed/deleted, also removing my 150+ day walking streak. Is this a known issue?

I do not have 25 or more workouts saved to my Instinct 1 watch.

I am trying to create a new workout on the Web Connect and Android Connect.

If I put in more than 2 warm ups, 24 exercises and 24 rest periods then I get the message telling me it is incompatible with my Instinct. If I leave it at 2 warm ups, 24 exercises and 24 rest periods then I do not get the message and I can upload it to my Instinct.

Is there now a limit of exercises, warm ups and rests that can be uploaded to an Instinct 1 watch?

Walking 2026 - Stage 4

I am experiencing a recurring issue with joining the "Walking 2026 - Stage 4" badge challenge in Garmin Connect (both in the mobile app and on the web interface).

Whenever I click "Join" or "Join Challenge" on the challenge details page, a pop-up appears saying "Challenge Accepted." However, when I check "My Challenges," it does not appear in my list and remains among the available challenges I can join.

I first noticed this problem last month (October), and now on November 1st with the new batch of challenges, it still refuses to show up in my list after clicking join.

I have never encountered this issue in the past 7 years of using Garmin Connect. All other challenges including Stage 4 of Cycling and Running can be joined without any problems.

Does anyone experienced same problem or have any idea how to solve it?

Personal API key shows Active but token endpoint returns 401 (3 keys, Garmin's own client)

My Personal API key shows as Active on connect.garmin.com (Settings > Personal API Key), but every token request returns HTTP 401 Unauthorized with an empty body.

What I've tried:
- Three separate keys (created Oct 30, Oct 31 and Nov 1 UTC), each copied with the page's copy button. All three rejected the same way.
- Garmin's official client, gc-personal 1.0.0 (refresh-token): 401.
- Plain curl exactly as shown on developer.garmin.com/gc-developer-program/personal/personal-api:
  POST personal.connectapi.garmin.com/.../token
  Authorization: ApiKey <key>
  Result: 401, content-length 0, www-authenticate: Bearer.
- Two different networks (home and phone cellular hotspot): same result.
- The key is 128 ASCII characters starting with GCDC_, with no stray whitespace.
- Account is on connect.garmin.com (US).

Others report this same request returning 200, so it looks specific to my account. Is there an account setting or condition that prevents Personal API keys from working, or can someone on the team check my account?

HRV baseline set too high

So you will see here the issue. HRV baseline initially set itself too high. It’s now end of October and it’s never set itself correctly.

I reset the watch but it just continues on, the baseline needs to drop. It’s not dropping enough. I’m mostly just low or unbalanced as it’s not dropping low enough. That 6 weeks, using an Instinct 3

I have had a significantly defective right leg since 1978, it's both short and was badly angled out from the knee. I had an artificial knee in 11/2025 and since then have been ramping up my walking.

On Monday I completed more steps than I've ever done, 20,078. I've certainly not walked that far since I've had a Garmin watch that measured steps. I've read the other forum entries that indicate there was a way to delete old steps data or set a specific day as a record, but nothing seems to work for me.

While there seems to be a lot of old data, most importantly I'd like to get rid of this record.

Climbing blank page still happens (gradeValue undefined) – ungraded climbing splits, follow-up to thread 436991

**Problem**
Bouldering and Indoor Climbing activities recorded by a Connect IQ watch-app (fēnix 7 Pro) do not display on Garmin Connect **web**:
- Bouldering: the whole activity page goes blank (flashes, then white).
- Indoor Climbing: the page opens, but clicking the **Routes** tab ("Show Splits Tab", event_label indoor_climbing) makes it blank.

The **Garmin Connect mobile app** shows the same activities correctly. Example 24721090266: Routes tab in the mobile app lists 5 routes with time, ascent and average HR (screenshot attached). Older native Garmin activities open normally on the web.

**Related threads (same bug)**
- "Cannot view indoor climbing activity details" – forums.garmin.com/.../cannot-view-indoor-climbing-activity-details – console error `TypeError: can't access property "valueKey", e.gradeValue is undefined`; marked resolved with Connect 5.26. It is **not fixed in 5.30.1.6** for splits without a grade.
- "Blank page when entering Padel/Tennis activity – similar issue to climbing" – forums.garmin.com/.../439138 – same symptom with a Connect IQ app.

The problem still happens in October 2026 for climbing splits without a grade (attached files). This matches the `gradeValue is undefined` error: the page reads a grade that the split does not have.

**Cause (isolated with FIT files)**
The activities contain climbing SPLIT messages (312, type climb_active/climb_rest) written by the watch firmware, with grade scale (312/69) and grade (312/70) set to invalid. Derived from one recording, only the listed fields changed (CRC valid, official FIT SDK decodes without errors):

Corrupt Fenix 8 file: Fatal error invalid file header size 60
