My Forerunner 955 is being replaced as the barometer / altimeter has failed and reads 0. I've completed a few runs with some decent elevation over the last week and have had to use connect on the web to change the elevation source to get the correct figure. Frustratingly, I can't get this synced back to my watch where all the calc etc happen so these runs have had no impact on hill scores etc. Does anyone know how to get edits runs synced back to the watch?

I lost my Garmin Instinct at an airport. What would happen if someone found it and started using it? Would I be able to see any new activities recorded on my Garmin account?

What would happen if they performed a factory reset on the device? If the watch is still linked to my Garmin account, would I continue to see any new activities recorded on it?
I'm in touch with airport staff and they didn't found the watch after 10 days.
Does Garmin provide any way to recover the item?

"only me section" of segment limited to 26 lines

Since a few months I can only see 26 lines in the "only me" section of the leaderboard of any segment, from the 27th line, the ranking continues with the "everyone" results.

Course Creator/Planner broken (in Chrome 150?)

For a couple of days now Course Creator on Web became basically unusable:

route is rendered black instead of blue (not a problem itself, but might be connected, noticed that problem started with the change of colour)
can't create a waypoint by clicking on a route (click and drag just moves the map)
moving existing waypoints fails in Popularity mode (waypoint seems to be moved to new position, but the route is not changed), only works in Direct mode
on Firefox creating a waypoint by clicking and dragging works, but only in Direct Mode

CSV download from web site is not available

CSV download from web site is not available although that was available last week. The selection bottom is on web site but download itself can not do that.

Can no longer reorder steps in creating / updating a workout

As of 7/20/26, I can no longer reorder steps when creating or updating a custom workout in the Web UI (i.e. workouts found under https://connect.garmin.com/app/workouts). For example, if I click "Add Step", I can't move the new step under a round that I have previously created. This was working last week.

Please fix as it is much easier (at least for me) to create workouts via the Web than using the Connect mobile app.

"When I try to merge two activities in .fit format that were accidentally saved too early, I have to export them first. Even though I’ve tried GPX, TCX, and FIT formats, the resulting file shows nonsense time data and consequently incorrect average speed after importing.The same issue occurs when editing – specifically trimming an activity. On top of that, the changes don't sync back to my Garmin Edge Explore 2. Does anyone have a proven workaround or a reliable step-by-step method for this?"

Edit at a Glance - Sorting/Moving does not work

I am using the Web version of the At a Glace functionality. I'm trying to edit and organize what widgets are being shown. I can add them but they only show at the bottom part and i'm unable to move the widgets to the top part where I can select the 8 status. I also can not move them around. I have attached a screenshot and also a short video of what i'm doing.

I am using Chrome on a Windows machine. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Tracking fiber in nutrition

I decided to stop using MyFitnessPal and track Nutrition in Garmin Connect, so I subscribed to Connect+. I'm astounded that the Nutrition tracking does not include fiber. There are 15 million people taking GLP-1s, and almost all of us are doing two things: using fitness apps to track nutrition and closely monitoring our fiber intake. This is critical because too little fiber (or too much fiber without enough hydration) causes constipation with GLP-1s.

Please fix this deficiency in Nutrition ASAP, or I'll need to cancel Connect+ and revert to MyFitnessPal (screenshot attached).

Printing an activity

Garmin needs to make a fix to the Golf handicap calculation

Garmin should be following the USGA specs for the handicap calculation. They are currently using the last 10 scores. It should be using the last 20 for me since I have more than 20 scores.

Can not delete multi-sport activity on connect.garmin.cn

I have an multi-sport activity in All Activitys that I would like to delete. When I click on the first activity in the multi-sport and delete, I get the prompt:
Are you sure you want to delete this activity? This cannot be undone
I click the "Delete" button, but the activity remains.

delete url is connect.garmin.cn/.../13935142, response status is 504 Gateway Timeout

Missing HR pro on swim activities

Incorrect max hart rate report

Hi,

I noticed that the max heart rate sometimes gets a value that is too high and doesn’t match any of the heart rate readings during the 24-hour period.
It should be easy to fix that type of false spike.

You can see in the picture that the high is 211 bpm, but during the full 24 hours I was never even close to that. This leads me to assume it was a false reading.

I assume it should be easy to understand this type of situation.

Der Connect- Übersichtsbericht kommt aber komischer weise immer noch an meine Alte Email Adresse.

FIT file of 23MB will not upload/sync with gamin

I have a FIT file that is 23.9MB from a 200miler that I just can not upload. I have fitfileviewer.com to correct any issues but Garmin upload just errors. Usual sync just ignores this activity. Not sure what else to do

**First observed:** 2026-07-04 (evening, CEST)

**Re-confirmed:** 2026-07-10, on freshly updated Edge firmware, via the iOS Garmin Connect app

**Device:** Garmin Edge 1040 (Dutch UI), synced via Garmin Connect

**Where to file:** Garmin support / forums.garmin.com → Garmin Connect Web (also affects the iOS app import path)

## Summary

Importing ANY course FIT file via Garmin Connect — web (Training & Planning →

Courses → Import) **and** the iOS Garmin Connect app — produces a course object

that syncs to the Edge 1040 but fails to open with

**"Ongeldige koers. Wissen?"** ("Invalid course. Delete?").

This includes a course FIT file **exported by Garmin Connect itself** —

Garmin Connect cannot re-import its own export. The imported course renders

normally in the GC phone app (map, course points all visible); only the device

rejects it.

The same import path worked on 2026-05-24 (course imported then still opens

fine today). The regression window is therefore **late May – early July 2026**,

and it persists as of 2026-07-10.

## Evidence matrix

Both third-party variants decode cleanly (fitparse; monotonic distance and

timestamps, course points in-bounds and interleaved, valid course-point types).

Their acceptance is irrelevant to the conclusion, however — **Garmin's own

export failing its own re-import** isolates the fault to the import pipeline

regardless of any third-party encoding choices.

## Conclusion

- Device is fine (old courses + newly *sent* existing course objects open; fresh firmware).

- Transport is fine (existing course objects deliver and open).

- TCX import path is fine (different parser).

- The file contents are irrelevant (Garmin's own export fails; spec-conformant

and legacy-shaped third-party files fail identically).

- **The FIT course import pipeline (web + iOS app) creates corrupt course

objects in the Garmin Connect database.** The GC app renders them fine

(lenient map view); the device's stricter course validator rejects the FIT

that GC's sync encoder regenerates from the corrupted object.

- Regression introduced between 2026-05-24 (last known-good import) and

2026-07-04; still present 2026-07-10.

## Impact

- Rider could not load a race course with nutrition/pacing course points onto

the Edge 1040 the night before Maratona dles Dolomites (2026-07-05).

- Recurred 2026-07-09/10 preparing GFNY Grand Ballon: course imports, shows

all course points in the GC app, and is rejected by the device.

- Affects every Edge user importing FIT courses (including files exported from

Garmin Connect itself); workarounds (TCX) strip course points.

## Reproduction (any account, ~5 minutes)

1. Export any existing, working course from Garmin Connect as FIT.

2. Re-import that same file as a new course (web or iOS app).

3. Send the new course to an Edge; open it on the device → "Invalid course. Delete?"

## Attachments to include

Garmin Connect Web News Feed Showing Only Last 10–20 Activities

For the last two weeks I have noticed that the News Feed in the web version of Garmin Connect only shows approximately the last 10–20 activities.

On the mobile app, however, I can still keep scrolling and older activities continue to load normally. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue, or has Garmin intentionally limited the News Feed on the web version?

Weird Garmin Connect Email

I'm pretty sure I'm asking this question in the wrong forum...but Garmin being Garmin, it's not clear which forum would be the correct one to use (nor is their online help system of any use, either). Please bear with me.

The other day I received an email telling me that my connect data was going to be deleted because I'd opted out of "...allowing Garmin Connect™ to store and process your health and fitness data".

So far as I know, I've never shared health or fitness data from my inReach Mini. In fact, I don't think it records such information.

So, can I ignore the email?

What concerns me is I do have a lot of track/route information stored (somewhere) on the Garmin servers. I don't want to lose that!
