What's not working? Logging into my rarely used mapmyride account, I see at http://www.mapmyride.com/workout/import/dashboard/ a choice of "Import from Garmin Device", which causes Safari to ask whether I want mapmyride to be allowed to use Communicator Plugin. There's also an "Upload a File" choice, so you could just manually upload direct from your 1000 when it's plugged in and mounted as a disk.
