Just here to add some weight. 2fa multiple times per day is unacceptable.

Garmin:

1. Allow users to opt out of 2fa, even with ecg devices. You fulfilled data privacy laws by automatic enforcing 2fa for account with ecg devices bound to them. Then allowing users to opt out of 2fa is the users own decision and thus equally lawful. There is no law that requires websites to enforce privacy against the user's will.

2. Remember the ******* login. Every stupid website is able to do this. Tell your developers to use Google and learn how to do it.

Simply not good enough. Every one of the 5 times I've gone to login over the last 24hrs (despite selecting the "remember me" checkboxes) I have had to await a OTP code to login. Basic, core functionality shouldn't be this difficult. It makes one wonder how much you value your customers.

This is getting absolutely ridiculous. Genuinely, amateur hour.

As bad as it was before, having to routinely jump through 2FA hoops, but today for the past hour or so, I can't even log in. All I received in a red bar is the message "An unexpected error has occurred."

Clearing cookies and browser cache didn't fix it. In the end, I had to use a VPN.

Baffles me a multi-billion company like Garmin can't make something so simple as this work.

Don't get your hopes up. I got my Garmin hopes up about 6 years ago. This was promptly followed by 6 years of disappointment.

As mentioned, we have asked for an update on this and have not received anything at this time. We will update as soon as we get additional information regarding this.

In order to use ECG, you need to activate 2FA (I guess because it’s considered sensitive data). The thing is, you cannot deactivate 2FA after you’ve turned it on once—even if you never use ECG again.

Garmin - SP removal of 2FA for those who have subsequently disabled the ECG function might go some way to alleviating the logon issue for some users. Could this be looked at while the ongoing logout problem is also being investigated?

Absolutely the same here. I really regret enabling ECG and wish it could be disabled, along with the constant nagging to log in and jumping through the 2FA hoops.

Since neither 'Remember me' nor 'Remember this browser' works, could you PLEASE give us the option to disable 2FA? I'm regretting enabling it every day. I'm actually so close from creating a new account and abandoning the old one to never ever use ECG again.

OP here. Things have gotten a lot better for me. I am still not certain that the "remember browser" checkbox does anything at all but at least I am not getting logged out auf Garmin Connect Web multiple times per day. In fact, I think it only happened once over the past 2 or so weeks. So the annoyance factor has gone down tremendously just because of that.

Did Garmin make changes? Or is it some internet provider / Cloudflare related thing? Hard to tell from my end, but at least I don't have to do daily 2FA log-ins (for now).

As of March 6th, 2026, Garmin's net worth is about $41.3 billion – and those who have fed that net worth are rewarded with the empty generic platitude that Garmin has posted here in lieu of a resolution of the issue, which is now about 6 years in the running.

Garmin - SP - I appreciate you are the messenger here, rather than the person behind any of these decisions / priority calls. However, what would *really* help me here as a community member rapidly losing faith in Garmin products and services would be for you to come back to this forum with a more detailed response from Garmin in terms of a plan to address this widespread issue. For example:

- what level of priority has this been assigned in your support / ticketing system? Is it considered a P1 issue, given the clearly widespread effect it has on users? Or has it been assigned a lower priority?

- where are you in terms of understanding the issue?

- what have you investigated / found out so far and what lines of investigation are you pursuing

- what are your next steps to diagnose / resolve the issue?

I understand there will be a limit to the amount of information you can disclose about your security implementation, and I'm not looking for a deep dive into that implementation. But I *would* like to get some reassurance that it's being taken seriously, and solid communication back to your users would go a long way to making that happen.

Must be a lot of 'looking' into this issue Garmin - DK for there to be zero updates after two months. Meanwhile, this is becoming increasingly more annoying by the day. It's baffling Garmin is seemingly unable to fix this issue, or devote resources to do so.
