This trick worked. I customized it with my info, and the Marathon badge appeared.

Since there is no GPS data and no other data than distance, time and calories then you can use a file from me. Import it and then edit the data to match your run. Remember to edit the date at the top.

What I've done is to log a 2 second long run on my Enduro 3 before I aquired a GPS position and then save and sync.

Hmm...the file doesn't contain any GPS data. It is too small to be handled by another service I use (gotoes.org)

Did the original activity have GPS data?

I guess we might need some better tool like FitFileRepairTool. If you upload the file (compress it to a zip file first) here someone should be able to help you to fix the file.

I wonder if it might be too old. That model doesn't store the files as FIT files. I recall some old discussion about this issue.

I would test this: download the FIT file from Garmin Connect Web. Run it through device changer on https://www.fitfiletools.com/ and set a Garmin device. Delete the original actvity and then upload the new file.

Which Garmin device did you use to log this run? There is none visible in the activity. Only activities logged with a Garmin device count for badges and challenges.
