My understanding is that the F35 also has some issues with long runs. From fixing a lot of fit files on this forum, I estimate over 90% of them are from the F35. If you're a serious runner, you might want to consider a different watch, if you can. Anything in the current Forerunner lineup would be better.

Thank you thank you thank you for saving my run! I had a situation with unusual pauses. Dont normally do that and I'll avoid in the future.

The Forerunner 35 is susceptible to these types of issues. Here are some suggestions to help minimize the occurrence of corrupt fit files:

After verifying that everything has synced, backup then remove the files in the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder on the device’s file system using these directions: Removing Recorded Activities on a Garmin Fitness Device
Avoid excessive button presses such as pausing during your activity. If you need to pause frequently during your run, consider turning on auto pause
Regularly check for firmware updates using Garmin Express
If issues with corrupt files persist, contact Garmin Support

Zip then attach the FIT file to this thread. We can take a look to see if it is repairable.

Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
Or upload the fit file to a file sharing service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc., make the file public, then paste a link to the file in your post.
