If you try to edit sleep times, the start and end times are incorrect. Appear to be in GMT instead of local time.

I regularly edit my sleep times and it has worked fine in the past. This morning, it did not. Start and end times were incorrect after the edit.

I recently got a Fenix 8 47 mm AMOLED and really love it HOWEVER, for some reason my Airpods have stopped working with my iphone. I do not want to connect the airpods to the watch and haven'r done so eather, but not when I want to use the airpods with my phone, they keep connecting and disconnecting instantly. I know its the garmin watch / app spooking because they work perfect when the watch is disconnected.

I have also tried resetting the airpod connection with my iphone but with the same results.

Anyone else experienced this and know how to solve it?

Connect+ weight

Ok, I’m currently using the test month of Connect+ and am making use of the food logging. I also have an Index S2 on which I weigh myself every morning. The last couple of weeks I regularly noticed that, after my weigh in, I get another weigh in moment. This with a different weight.

Now going through the connect+ Food settings/Food plan I noticed that incorrect weight there as well. It seems the start weight there is not linked to the weight as registered by the Index S2 but has to be entered manually. So every time you adjust the calorie goal, the desired weight loss or something, this weight is pushed to the entire connect ecosystem and to your user profile (also in the weight settings of the user profile of the watch). Without any insight in all the logic of the underlying algorithms I can imagine that this could throw off calculations for VO2max, runpower,…

Seems to be something that could be designed better. Maybe not relevant if you fluctuate around a stable weight, but in case you lose a lot of weight this can be an issue (and as well a puzzle to figure out where these additional weighings are coming from)

Great post. I had setup my nutrition settings to lose 10 lbs a couple months back. I never thought to check my current setting but did after reading this and Garmin connect never updated my weight even though my weight is entered weekly. End result, it was setting my target calories based off starting weight and not my weight today which is 10 lbs lighter. Lastly, why not have something that said hey congrats on hitting your target weight or 3 more lbs to go to reach target…etc. I am on 5.25. I manually changed current weight in nutrition and target calories adjusted, but this should be part of Garmins automation imo.

The latest update broke the drop-down menu where I select my device to force a sync. It just drops down the "Add Device" row now.

Thanks for following up, much appreciated !
In the video below I first checked todays weight, then did some adjustments in the food goals, where my weight differs slightly. Then back to the weight tile where I get a new weigh in moment with the weight coming from the food section. This had me puzzled for several weeks, not knowing from which app it came (I have lost a lot of weight and this may be less relevant once I stabilise).
I am on 5.25.

The first is sleep on the Home Screen. Sleep from 11:32 to 7.

Second is the edit screen. Note times are 3:32 am to 11am.

Third screen is after I hit save on the edit screen. note sleep times now 3:32 am to 11am.

i only hit one button- save in the edit screen - no need for video

Can you share a screenshot or screen recording of this occurring for you? We also just put out 5.25 update for Connect, so I'd like to make sure you are on the updated software as well to see if that resolves this.

Have tried both methods and neither are working for me. AirPods constantly connecting and disconnecting.

Abbreviated device names

Since the major redesign of the iOS Garmin Connect app a few months back the unique device name displayed in the top right hand dropdown (where you select which watch/device to manage) is abbreviated for some reason - e.g. Instinct 2 and Instinct 2X are both shown as Instinct 2. Anyone else with the same issue, or is it just me?

Still cannot pair Garmin Edge 530 with Iphone (v26.2.1) using latest Garmin Connect (v 5.21.3.4).

I read that 5.21.3 fixes Iphone - Garmin Connect Pairing. But, I still have an issue as it only "half-pairs for me".

After deleting apps including Garmin Connect Iq, reinstalling and ensuring Edge is removed from iphone, + restarting all devices and turining iPhone BlueTooth on/off.

Garmin Connect on iPhone initially recoginizes Edge 530 and gives pairing codes on both devices indicating connection. However, then Connect goes back to complete pairing and is not able to find the Edge 530 again. Despite multiple tries and the claims "of extended search" it never finds the Edge 530 again. Edge 530 goes back into Phone Setup mode wailing for iPhone and Garmin Connect on iPhone says "no accessory found" (despite just fnding it a few minutes ago and getting correct pairing codes on both devices.

The 530 then appears in Iphone as Bluetooth device and Garmin Connect with red circle indicating pairing process not complete.

Have deleted it in Connect and iPhone Bluetooth several times, but cannot get by this 2nd pairing step.

Garmin are you going to fix this issues and QA that it is fixed? The extended accessory searching seems like a bandaid.

However, I am able to successfully pair my Forerunner 645 watch with iPhone and Garmin Connect so it appears to be an issue directly with Edge 530 and Garmin Connect app.

Hi all, i guess i have the same problem. I'm failing somewhere between 8 and 9. I don't want to deinstall all garminapps as I have to resync my watch then (who knows if this is working..). Any new suggestions?

Add Device to the Garmin Connect App
1. Open the Garmin Connect app.
2. Select More (bottom right).
3. Select Garmin Devices.
4. Select Add Device.
5. Select Find Nearby Accessories.
  - Your Garmin device should still indicate that it is in pairing mode with an image, QR code, or text. If not place it back into pairing mode.
6. Once your device is found select Set Up.
7. Confirm the six-digit code displayed on your watch matches the code in the Garmin Connect app.
8. Select Done.
9. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the setup of your device.
A sync should occur during this process, and your Garmin device should display a green dot from the Home page of the Garmin Connect app, indicating a connection with your mobile device.

Thanks for the link, I’m familiar with this article, however it does not have the info how is the 7 day average calculated. Also, if the average is not an actual average, then naming it that way is misleading.

For the past few days the 7 day average HRV metric seems to be calculated incorrectly. I exported the data and calculated it myself and it differs. Is this a new bug garmin introduced or did they change the logic for calculating the average? This is not trivial since this metric affects HRV status, training readiness and training status.

Just purchased a Fenix 8 w/ 20.30 from factory with fresh install of Connect (5.25.0.9) on iOS 26.5. I was getting this loop.

Forcing a software update on the Fenix to 21.39 seems to have fixed it. I'll report back here if it comes back again

Just to confirm, if you have your AirPods paired only to your phone and not to the watch, can you please upvote this message.

If your AirPods are paired to both the watch and your phone, please try unpairing them from your watch and see if that helps at all.

Garmin Connect not syncing "activity" data

I have a Vivoactive 6. I've been using it for several months now. I recently noticed that some information is not being synced to Apple Health, specifically the activity data that shows move, exercise, and stand goals. It was syncing for a while, but stopped about a month ago.

From my research, it seems to be that the missing "Motion & Fitness" permission in settings might be the cause (Settings > Privacy & Security > Motion & Fitness). Garmin Connect doesn't even show up as an option in this list.

I've tried the following:

Uninstalled Garmin Connect
Verified Garmin Connect no longer shows in Health permissions list
Restarted the phone
Reinstalled Garmin Connect.

After those steps, I'm able to approve Apple Health permissions again within Garmin Connect, but the app still doesn't show in the Motion & Fitness section of privacy settings. I'm not positive this is the problem, but it seems to make sense give other data is syncing to Apple Health just fine.

Hello Katze, I just want to add a +1 to your case.

My 7d Average HRV is ~7 points below my manually calculated value. I am using the last 7d overnight sleep HRV to calculate it.

This issue has high impact since Garmin uses the average HRV value for many other metrics. I am wearing a Forerunner 955

Garmin Connect App - Strength training - bug

Hi.

I have used the Garmin Connect app for years.

I record every strength or cardio session I do in the app.

For my strength sessions, I always record every exercise and set. however, on the last few days whenever I try to enter the number of reps or weight, the app does not save the information. It's super frustrating.

Are other users reporting the same issue? Is Garmin working on a fix? Anything that I need to do to fix issue?
