&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Open the iPhone Settings App.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Select Notifications.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Select the Messages app.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;On this page, make sure the &amp;#39;Notification Center&amp;#39; has a blue check-mark under it.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;On the same page, make sure &amp;#39;Show Previews&amp;#39; is set to Always or While Unlocked.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;If any changes are made, sync your watch with the Garmin Connect app and test again.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If you are using an Android, confirm the following:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Open the Garmin Connect App.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Select More (bottom right).&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Select Settings.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Select Notifications.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Select App Notifications.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Make sure the &amp;#39;Messages&amp;#39; app is toggled on (blue).&lt;/li&gt;
