Since 4.3 update, both of us are unable to edit activities (on GCM only)

Since the 4.3 update, my wife and I are both unable to edit activities via Garmin Connect Mobile on our iPhone 8+ phones. She uses an FR935, I have a VA3. Both devices sync timely and properly with GCM. The activities are editable on garmin.com, and the edits made on garmin.com propagate to GCM correctly. But no error of any kind can be made on GCM ("Network Connection Error").

    OK like darrencroton above the workaround let’s me edit my runs now so the temp. fix appears to be working here also.

    That fix worked fine for my ride, but I can change my yoga workout as it has no privacy settings.

    How come? My yoga activity has privacy settings (clearly shown in the screenshots below).



    I can also confirm that I can change the privacy settings for the yoga activity on my iPad using the Safari browser, so it isn't just on my Mac or Windows PC, but on a mobile device as well. (I don't have an iPhone, and won't ever use one as my personal or work phone as long as I have any say in the matter.)

    I’m having this issue as well. I’ve confirmed that changing the Privacy allows you to do the edit. Would be good to get this fixed soon it’s been ongoing for a while now. Good luck. :)

    Ditto. I hope Garmin actually takes the time to glance into these forums and fix this issue. It is annoying enough that I have to edit activities in the first place, as setting "Walking" as an activity is not an option on the Forerunner 230. Not being able to edit the activity until I get home to my PC just makes it even less convenient.
  • @bquinnan: 1. Doesn't setting/changing the privacy setting of the activity to something other than My Connections allow you top them edit the activity in the Garmin Connect Mobile app? 2. Don't you have even one browser app on your mobile device? What about the factory-installed Safari browser? (Just to pre-empt, nobody is talking about whether you get to do your edits the way you would prefer; I'm simply addressing your complaint that you have to get home top your PC before you can edit.)

    My activities are set not to be shared by default, and just now I have no problem editing an activity in GCM.
  • My activities were always set for “Only me”, so I never encountered the edit problem but I can’t seem to add gear(s) to any activities at all with iOS mobile app. When I try to add a gear, I get “No gear added” error.

    When i add gear(s) through Connect Online, I can see them in the activity on GCM, however, when I try to edit the gears, I get the same “No Gear Added” error.
  • I changed my pricacy to Connections and Groups but did not worked. Same issue with editing.

    Please keep working on it.
  • Very interesting. It looks like GCM needs to wait at least overnight/the following day before it allows you to add a new gear to an activity, even though you can view, and in fact add the gear through GCM after all.
