Can't sync secondary watch since update

Hi,

I have two watches. One I wear all day except exercising, the other is for exercise. At the end of a workout I would obviously like my watch to sync to my phone. However some numpty at garmin has broken that functionality.

In the past I could touch the icon of the watch in the top right hand corner and I would get a list of watches and then select the secondary one and force a sync. Now I get the list, I select my forerunner but there's no option to sync.

Is there another method to force it to sync, other than plugging it into the computer. This pretty much renderes the watch useless.

It will sync automatically when it connects to Garmin Connect and right after a logged workout so manual syncing shouldn't be needed.

You can also open the device list to click the sync button: More > Garmin Devices

reschedule and three consecutive days

I have four days of activities in my training plan, and every so often I need to move an activity.

So I have Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday and need to move Saturday to Monday. Nope that's three consecutive days, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, counting one run twice.

The only solution is move it to next Saturday while the plan hasn't populated then move it back.

Thus to move tonight's to Friday and Saturday to Monday takes four reschedule actions because the app is blocking you.

Please can we get this bug fixed or better yet an option to allow three consecutive days warning is fine blocking isn't I'm an adult and can cope.

Nutrition Feedback

Hello!

I recently signed up for Connect+ in order to gain access to the Nutrition feature. Having also purchased an Index S2, being able to have everything in one place is a plus.

However, my experience so far while attempting to move over from Cronometer, is that I feel like I'm paying Garmin to be a beta tester, as the feature definitely feels unfinished and lacking in some important areas:

I've had at least 2 barcodes scan as the wrong flavour/variety of the product. (Vanilla Muscle Milk from Dollarama scanned as Chocolate, a Grab & Go Stack of Salt & Vinegar Pringles scanned as Sour Cream & Onion)
There is no ability to scan the nutrition label to auto-fill a missing food like there is in Cronometer
There is no "community database" to submit foods to, which in conjunction with the nutrition label scanning in Cronometer is a huge factor in their comprehensive database
No ability to set different targets for different days of the week
No BMR + activity level calculation, only a "fixed number of calories" with the option to add activity calories to the goal.
No ability to set a fixed target for some macros and leave he others variable

I hope that this feedback will be taken into account and we'll start to see such key functionality arriving soon, as I'm very much a fan of having all my activity and nutrition data all in one ecosystem

I cant figure out how to fix wrong data. Many times now I have scanned a barcode and it comes up with the name but the calories are off by 10 to 20 calories or the I cant change the serving size to get it to come out to the same as rhe label. I also cant change the mocros if they are wrong. I have been using calAI for almost a year and the subscription is almost over so I wanted to try garmin but so far its not as nice fo use. Also with calai I can "fix result" if when I take a picture and it says beef but it's venison I just tell the app that its venison and it corrects the macros. Also it sucks I cant take a picture and scan it from my gallery it has to be taken at the time of. There are some things that need to be fixed if im going to pay more than calAI because that app seems to work better

I am having an issue with the Garmin Connect app on Android. While navigating through settings, I encounter a serious glitch in areas where toggle switches are present. When I go deeper into specific settings and then navigate back, the toggle switches start switching on and off by themselves.

At this point, the app stops responding to any touches. To make it work again, I either have to force close the app in Android settings or lock and unlock my phone, which usually (but not always) fixes it temporarily. This happens in every menu that contains such switches. I have already tried clearing the app cache and data. It doesn't do that anymore. Previously, for example, when I went to: Settings -> System -> Do Not Disturb -> Watch Face (even without changing any settings), and then navigated back to Settings -> System -> Do Not Disturb, the toggles would switch by themselves. This happened practically everywhere where there were toggles after returning from a submenu.

I’ve checked it now and that’s no longer happening. Currently, when I go to: Settings -> System -> Do Not Disturb -> Watch Face and press back, it takes me all the way back to Settings -> System. The plus side is that the toggles aren't glitching anymore, but the downside is having to enter the submenu all over again.

Current Garmin Connect version: 5.23.1 Previous version: I don’t know what the version number was, because I had to wait a month for any response from you.

Here's a couple of really quick wins for food logging:

1. When logging regular foods together for a meal, say breakfast, why not offer a 'frequently paired' list? It makes it so much better.

2. How about enabling manual correction for foods scanned by barcodes that have either incorrect food nutrition values or food descriptions? So much more effective than 'reporting an issue'

How about doing it for the next app update?

I use the Index Sleep Monitor and keep my watch switched off during the night. I only turn it back on when I leave for work. So it would be nice to get the Morning Report on the phone.

I had to go into the parameters of the Garmin Connect app to enable the data transfer, looks like it was not enabled by default which is weird. But now it works fine.

I just bought a Vivoactive 4, I installed Garmin Connect and I've been able to connect the smartwatch to the app without issue. All synchronization looks good, except the activities, heartbeat, pace, walk... I don't see any of these activities in the Garmin Connect app (on the phone or the webapp). I tried unpairing the smartwatch and re-pairing it but without success. I see all my activities on the smartwatch but nothing in the Garmin Connect app.
Would you have any advise to me?

bonjour j'ai fait un test de seuil lactique qui m'a fait une prédiction à 171 BPM ma montre à paramétrer les pourcentages des zones en fonction de celui-ci mais celle-ci ne correspond pas du tout au pourcentage par rapport à la fréquence max ou la fréquence de repos je ne comprends pas vraiment d'où sortent ces pourcentages et si je peux m'y fier car je me retrouve avec une zone de qui part de 137 jusqu'à 154 BPM alors que auparavant la zone 2 s'arrêter à 137 BPM

Merci pour votre retour et bien justement quand je me base sur le tableau du seuil lactique même réinitialiser celui si revien tout le temps sur les valeurs des capture

Les captur on était faite avec les valeurs donner après réinitialisation ce sont donc mes valeurs par défaut de Garmin

Néanmoins une zone 2 qui comment a 137 et Fini a 154 je pense que c'est sur estimer si je fait un footing normal je rentre même pas dans ma zone 2 ou allors il fut que je pousse un peut ce qui n'est pas l'idée de l'endurance fondamentale

The weekly running leaderbord shown not the correct sum. It's the sum of two of the three runs I have make this week. It's the same as in the week before. Both times the sunday is not included in the sum.

It is not important that they are each different. The tables are not supposed to be identical when you change the base. I recommend using the LTHR based zone table (seuil lactique), and then resetting it. It will set the default percentages, and recalculate the absolute values too. Then stop changing the base, because at each change, the percentage get adjusted to match the previous state, but it is always skewed little bit, so you end up with an oddly looking table like yours. If it happens, reset the table again. The default percentages should be good enough to work with.
