Frankly, the reverting back to the old mode, without actually providing the option for users to sync with DND on the phone is SO stupid. Many of us, specially shift workers, doctors, first responders, etc. have been wanting the option to sync for years. It is SO helpful, for many, to not have to manually set watch DND too, one additional task, when you're tired and you have already set phone's DND. For many, auto DND doesn't make sense either and syncing is the best way. If you're someone who's been waiting for this feature, please reach out to Garmin support so that sync option is added to the settings and not turned on by default (so folks don't freak out like they did on this thread).

5.19 fixed it but I noticed 5.19.2 is now available on the play store, can anyone confirm it works ok?

I’m seeing the exact issue with my Garmin + Pixel setup. After the update notifications go to the watch but no vibration is triggered. Phone DND seems ignored, yet the watch stays silent.

I thought I did something to screw up my settings! I won't admit how many hours I spent trying to update every single app to bypass DND, while also keeping notifications silent, in order to try and get my watch to respond. Finally, I turned my phone off DND for probably the first time in 5 years as I was missing a ton of text messages/calls that my watch would normally tell me about.

Lesson learned to look in the forums next time before assuming it's me 🤣

I can confirm v5.19 now available on the google play store in Australia this morning 7th Nov fixed it ie, the behaviour is back to how it was in v5.17.2. I upgraded the app to v5.19 and now when my Samsung S25 is in DND mode, and my Fenix 7s Solar is not in DND, I correctly recieve notifications on my watch

After update to 5.19 DnD was et up on the watch directly. After disabling it I got previous behaviour. Check this...

I agree. If it is this easy to make the change, a toggle for the behavior should not be hard. They already have the option to choose which apps to notify on the watch, it should be trivial to have a "follow phone DND settings" toggle.

I have the same problem and it is very inconvenient for me because i need to have phone in the mode "not disturb" all the time but i still want to have notifications on my watch. Notifications on the watch are more discret.

I see a lot of people saying it works correctly with 5.19. However, taking note that not a small number of people wanted the new behavior. While I do prefer the old behavior, the correct fix isn't choosing for us. Instead, it would be allowing us to choose with a toggle to either follow the phone's DND or not. Hoping that Garmin sees this as the correct way to address it at some point in the future.

Yes, I tried — I even cleared the cache and data of the Play Store. I’ll wait a bit and see what happens! Or I’ll just get the app from APK Mirror instead. Thanks.

i receive it on iOS, 5.19.0.8 (France)

DND on the smartphone, no notifications on the watch. Like with 5.18.

The new version doesn’t appear on the Play Store. Maybe that’s because I’m in France and the rollout isn’t happening in all countries at the same time?

I believe Google Play Store shows different versions of apps in different countries. v5.18 is the latest available on Google play store in Australia, what country are you guys in?

Confirming 5.19 fixed the issue, it's now back like before, e.g. Do Not disturb on phone is not connected to DND on watch 🎉

Where are you getting 5.19 from? My only option, looking in the Play Store app or on the website, is still 5.18.

Just installed 5.19. They have not reverted this change. Will downgrade again.

Edit: after Force quit and Clear Cache it works!
