My Garmin connect app recently updated automatically my edge 1000 can no longer auto update or I can't upload using bluetooth.. any ideas please..

Remove Edge from Garmin Devices - Menu >> Garmin Devices >> Select Edge 1000 >> 3-dot menu >> Remove Device
Go back to Devices >> Add Device

In that case.

Uninstall Garmin Connect
In phone's Bluetooth settings select gear icon to the right of "Edge 1000" >> unpair
Restart phone and edge
Install Garmin Connect
Place edge in Bluetooth pairing mode
Add Device
If still not joy, contact Garmin Support via phone or chat - https://support.garmin.com
