Just a side note to what e7andy wrote - you can also change the activity type to Floor Climbing retroactively in Garmin Connect. Even if you did not record it under that profile originally, the badge will be awarded (assuming you met the other conditions mentioned by Andy)

The only thing that is interesting for the floor climbing badges is the ascent and that the activity type is "Floor Climbing".

It will count if you climb any mountain as long as you use the activity type "Floor Climbing".

You can go for a run and if the course got enough hills and you log it as "Floor Climbing" you will get the badge...but then it will not count as running.

Also note that the Druid Arch badge only need 735 feet of climbing and the next badge is 1000 feet. If you climb 2000 feet you can only get Angels Landing (1500 feet or more). To get the Druid Arch badge you must have an ascent between 735 and 1000 feet.

I am climbed 129 floors 2000ft and no Druid Badge

Also why can this count if you climb a 14er or any mountain. It's considered a climb right. Actually harder than climbing floors but no badges for mountains

Alternatively, you can manually edit the floor number, if you feel that the automatic detection is incorrect.

Since Garmin counts 10ft per floor, you need minimally 74 floors for the Druids Arch badge, but I would advise to do always couple of floors more, just to be sure.

Thanks tmk2, I already have The Narrows badge. So will this never unlock Druids Arch because the values are slightly different?

What is the best value to track on the watch display to ensure I hit the right target?

Yup, it is.

To make things confusing, there are two elevation values produced by a floor climbing activity. One of them is elevation gain, and this is what is measured by the watch's built-in altimeter. The other is total ascent, and this one is a product of floors climbed (72 in your case) and a standard floor height, which according to Garmin is 10 feet. For the virtual climb bagdes the latter counts. Anyway, even though you failed to reach 735 feet, this activity should have granted you at least the "Virtual Climb - The Narrows" badge. I don't know why it hasn't. Try editing the title of the activity - sometimes this trick makes the badge appear. And if this does not help, try contacting garmin support.
